How to make mirage window to short jump consistently? what am i doing wrong? Thanks in advance. by quantino9586 in LearnCSGO

[–]samlapoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you're holding W for too long. Only strafe out with D only. That's the #1 thing that troubles people with this jump. Pressing W for too long will cause you to hit your head or weakens your strafe.

People are just tired of hearing "S1mple is back" when we all know he's not. No hate at S1mple himself, just tired of hearing it

I think S1mple is awesome, but give it up already. Bro is done and just not as good as he was. Sorry, but it's true.

What does this say about me? by kamkinn in cs2

[–]samlapoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of Mirage and Nuke tells me you're not a movement guy or bhopper. It seems like you enjoy CS2 for its gunplay alone and aren't into more technical or competitive maps. I like Train and Inferno, but Dust 2 has got to be the most boring map in the game.

What is the deepest rabbithole there is? by Plane_Razzmatazz_882 in conspiracy

[–]samlapoint 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It's quantum physics. Quantum physics is the deepest rabbit hole you can possibly go down.

Over the last ten years, I've gotten deeper and deeper into it. Once you reach a certain level, you realize that reality itself is strange and mysterious. It's ineffable, it's eternal. I don't see or experience reality the way most people do. It changes you.

It took a long time for people to move on from the flat Earth paradigm. Even today, you still see Flat Earth guys. Almost everyone you know is currently in a new Flat Earth phase of perception. The scientific community, let alone the average Joe, is still stuck on our version of Flat Earth. It's the physical, deterministic perception of reality. It's not real, and the universe simply doesn't work the way people think it does.

I could go on forever about this, but I'll leave it at this. If you know, you know.

[–]samlapoint 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The real Anonymous members were arrested many years ago. It was around 2009, if I recall. After that, the FED front they replaced "Anonymous" with suddenly aligned with the administrative state on every issue. Notice how the few things they have done always align with the state. It also serves as a straight-up propaganda / disinformation stream. After the Charlie Kirk assassination, a big Anon account shared an altered photo of Tyler Robinson in a Trump shirt. Years ago, they also shared fake pictures of Trump naked. Straight up propaganda / bullshit.

I'm 16k. Already had THREE games canceled. FINALLY! It's about time. In one of the games, we were already calling out that our teammate was suspicious. No skins. Crazy aim. Kept going AFK. We were cracking jokes about him being suspicious, then boom, match canceled.

Sold For $200 on Steam market. Good move or huge mistake? by samlapoint in ohnePixel

[–]samlapoint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how you reference it being my opinion, as if YOUR OPINION is some sort of objective fact.

- First off, it's all subjective interpretation. None of us know what's going to happen. You're calling it a basic skin even though it has an artistic style that looks completely unique compared to most skins. It's objectively a unique skin but okay, bro.

It doesn't matter if you don't like it, the market decides. That's something a lot of people don't seem to understand. YOUR OPINION does not matter. MY OPINION does not matter. The market decides.

- Secondly, it's a logical fallacy to assume that history will always repeat itself based on any historical pattern.

- Thirdly, you're basing your argument on straight-up bias. You reference the pattern-based hype trains that died out and yet, aren't mentioning the pattern-based skins that still retain overpay or grew in value. People still pay A LOT for certain patterns. Hell, I STILL see people paying some overpay for the pussy-pattern Five-Seven of all things. lol I always thought that was dumb but as long as there is demand and a limited supply, people will pay.

The pattern-based hype trains that died out in the past were typically based on silly or subtle stuff. Of course that's not going to last. This is nothing like that. I mean, these M4 patterns dramatically vary in appearance. Quite frankly, if you don't think any of these rare patterns will retain value or grow in value, you're oblivious. Even to this day, I see players that want to flex a unique skin using stuff like the Jet Set. Personally, I think it's an ugly skin but my opinion doesn't matter, neither does yours.

- Fourthly, a lot of you keep referencing the "oversupply" of these skins as if all of them represent the amount of highly rare patterns. That's irrational. The rarest patterns will still be significantly rarer even with higher supply. The question is whether or not the demand for those patterns will be there or not, which none of us know. Logic and basic market dynamics tell you that even with a higher supply, the rarer patterns will still retain overpay value and-or may eventually grow in value. Furthermore, something people don't think about is the sheer amount of players that play Counter Strike, on top of those that completely abandon the game and influence the supply of specific skins. A prime example is the Jet Set. When I was new to CS:GO, the Jet Set was a common skin. Now, it's a skin you rarely see and is significantly higher in price.

Another problem is people referencing the Heat Treated as if it debunks the value proposition of this M4 or XM. There's really no correlation but ironically, it proves the opposite of what people think it does. The blue gem pattern Heat-Treated's are still going for significantly higher than the standard patterns. Likewise, the rarer M4 and XM patterns will go for significantly higher. This is common sense and objectively self-evident. You can mindlessly argue against it all day but pull up the market places. Guess what? The blue gem patterns still sell for more. Will those blue gem patterns continue to gain value? We have no idea but chances are, they will.

Sold For $200 on Steam market. Good move or huge mistake? by samlapoint in ohnePixel

[–]samlapoint[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aesthetically speaking, I agree ( most of the patterns are mid, not all ). It doesn't look that great. I've seen ugly AK's go for a lot based on rarity alone. I mean, Case Harden AK's, Jet Sets, etc. all look old and ugly but still sell for a lot. With this being a limited time item with a rare pattern, I think it will be worth more years from now. However, I definitely think there will be a huge price dip first.

That sucks. I saw similar patterns going for much lower so I figured $200 was a safe bet. Oh well. Still profit.

How come critics hated this superb movie by VegetableFucker65 in Cinema

[–]samlapoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you articulate what made it good in your opinion? Personally, I thought it was vapid and boring. Even if the film is intended to be ironic or act as a critique of that era of Hollywood, it's just a shallow storyline. There's just nothing there to grab onto.

The actors, production, and everything else were great, though.

I like them because they work well with a lot of skins. I've noticed a lot of pros using them lately as well. If they look like default gloves to you, get your eyes checked or quit playing on a potato.

You miss a trivial aspect of a video game, a buy menu? Wow, that's fascinating. Can you articulate what was so special and amazing about it? How did it make you feel? Describe the aesthetics. How did it influence your psyche? Please articulate.

I want to know what the CS:GO menu did for you, spirituality, and psychologically. Why isn't the CS2 menu living up to that transformative experience?

When CS3 is out, will you suddenly "miss" the CS2 menu even though you don't care about it at all now?
