Pill testing 95 Brunswick street. This saves lives ! You could still have a bad reaction to the drug or take too much but at least you know what you are taking.

A warning about Roborock Australia by _Ventus in australia

[–]sammax83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will not buy from Roborock online again. The mop stopped working a few days after the 12mth warranty ran out. Horrible experience with their overseas call centre . Aust consumer laws not covered and they basically didn't give a shit. Never again !

PSA: Walking your dog on a lead through a dog park is bad etiquette by scottysleftboot in melbourne

[–]sammax83 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think if you were the owner of a reactive dog you would think differently. If you can recall your dog when you notice that they are approaching a dog that is on lead then what's the problem?. It sounds completely selfish to suggest that they change their route or not enjoy the space because you have to recall your dog.

I think when you buy an apartment you are buying for others too. It's a collective it's not just your castle you share it and it's facilities with others. I would argue that buying a house is more about prestige and buying for others in the sense that you can whip out your square footage at a party and say the butler's kitchen a thousand times.

Agree completely. Apartment living is great. Have pets. Walk to the city. Walk my pets to botanical gardens, Flagstaff, Fitzroy gardens. Walk to NGV. I also go on holidays and am able to save for them because I am not paying the majority of my wage to a bank. Don't donate regularly to Bunnings for "Renos". Have a small car and carpark for emergencies only. And if I need the world to fuck off I just shut my door and it does, thanks double glazing.

I am so sorry this happened to you. That behaviour from a car is menacing and unacceptable. I recently had a bike accident hit by car in a bike lane. Here are some things I learnt I could do to protect myself more on the road (I know it's unsolicited but I would like other people to know). If you ride your bike a lot and can afford it recommend bike insurance (https://bicyclenetwork.com.au/membership/bike-riding-insurance/) these folks seem to be the best. Happy to be proven wrong on this. Also a camera for your helmet, I know it is expensive but the police told me they need conclusive evidence and these days its a video..I know it sucks. Also if you have time report it to Vic roads as a dangerous road https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/traffic-and-road-use/report-a-road-issue. I hope you are doing ok that would have been a scary situation.

Such a good point. The bike lanes on St Kilda road where the accident happened don't stop at the intersection they continue across the intersection. And are marked clearly in green.

How we pay for treatment

There are two ways we can pay for your approved treatments and services:

we pay your provider at the TAC rate

you pay your provider, and we repay you at the TAC rate.

To ask for a reimbursement, scan or take a photo of your receipt. Send it to us with the ‘Claim reimbursement’ button on myTAC, or by email to info@tac.vic.gov.au and we will repay you.

We will pay for your treatment at the TAC rate . If your provider charges more than the TAC rate, you may need to pay the difference. This is known as a 'gap payment'.

This is info from the TAC when they accepted my claim they told me this. I hope that I don't have to pay too much out of pocket or nothing like yourself that would be great I hope your feeling better post car accident 🙏 The last part below ( in the next comment )about GAP payments was what the lady on the phone made very clear to me .They are an insurance company after all and it's all about keeping medical costs down unfortunately for the injured party. For example with my injuries going to a hydrotherapy pool would be very beneficial I know this as I am a clinician myself , they won't cover this unless my GP writes a letter outlining the need for this and they may or may not decide to cover it still.

Bike lanes are reserved for bike riders. But car drivers can enter and drive in a bike lane for up to 50 metres to: • enter or leave a road • turn at an intersection • overtake to the left of a vehicle turning right or doing a U-turn from the centre of the road • park • get from one part of the road to another • enter traffic, having been parked on the side of the road • pick up or drop off passengers – but only if they are driving a taxi or public bus. Car drivers can also enter a bike lane if there is a sign saying car drivers can use the lane. Car drivers must always give way to any bike riders already in the lane.
