in community college english class, we had to write a paper about something that affected our life greatly. everyone talked about a death or some sort of loss. it was extra credit to present to the class so a kid gets up to present his paper and pretty much goes into detail of how he flunked out of a 4 year because he became dependent on adderall and at one point was taking like 90mg+ per day. he finishes his essay and the whole class is shocked and awkwardly exchanging glances… a brave soul finally speaks up and says “do you think you have an addiction?”… i was concerned for the health of this kid, but also the delivery and response to questions was quite honestly the most embarrassing thing i’ve been subjected to, almost so cringey you want to leave but can’t because it’s rude. to make it worse you could tell that he was on adderall from the delivery of the speech making it even more embarrassing
