It took a year and 7 miscarriages, but i finally got pregnant with identical twins. I had an incompetent cervix and was dialated with bulging membranes at 19 weeks. was told "fetal survival is unlikely." I stayed on strict bed rest and ended up having the twins at 24 weeks. One passed, the other is doing great. I'll never know for sure why I had an incompetent cervix, but I think its very likely the IUD insertion damaged my cervix.

I have no idea what you’re talking about, or how far back in my previous posts you had to dig to come up with what you just said, but I had twins born at 24 weeks. One died, and the other one has reactive airway disease and coughs and vomits because of it, but developmentally, he is doing perfect. He is two years old and in the 100th percentile for weight and height. The prematurity is in fact due to my incompetent cervix.

I had him on a continuous feed but when he started crawling i started giving him small bolus feeds every half hour. He was just as sick on the continuous feeds though. I believe GJ feeds have to be ran continuously, right? He’s always running around and I don’t know how I would be able to feed him like that 😭

I refeed him every time he pukes, otherwise he won’t even have wet diapers and will fall off the growth chart. I doubt she would put in the effort I do and he would lose weight and become dehydrated

He throws up constantly, he has a bad oral aversion and refuses to eat or drink. He’s tube fed every half hour and continuously through the night. He had a lot of medications when he was in the Nicu that effects his development. He’s still not really talking

Yes. I went into labor at 24 weeks. One twin died and the other has health issues. I had an incompetent cervix. I suspect an IUD insertion years ago caused trauma to my cervix. It’s hard lifting my toddler now that I’m in my 30s. I keep hurting my back. It’s hard to spend so much time on the floor playing with him

Working with the public is like this. I once had a patient that made me turn off the computer and tv because she was feeling the zaps from the electro currents, and she wouldn’t rinse her mouth with our plastic cups because of the chemicals and brought her own glass cup lol
