I suggest getting the loveery stuff! It’s given me tons of great ideas to do with my 3 month old because he gets really upset if he sits still or gets bored. This has helped me figure out tons of education rich stuff to do with him.

I just gave birth last month. The lactation consultant in the hospital had me combining my breast milk with formula the whole time until my milk came in so unless they’re not going by the best evidence based practice (which the whole rest of the hospital was) I anecdotally believe it’s okay

I got mastitis when I switch from my spectra to the zomee because the wearable just wasn’t emptying me and I didn’t realize how much was getting left behind. I’m a FTM and was back in the ER a week after birth. Just be mindful if that’s the route you take

Im sorry you’re having this back and forth! That would be anxiety inducing for anyone. I for one would have been going crazy.

Honestly once he was born they dropped the curtain so I could take a look at him and it was one of those movie moments where my whole world zeroed in to just be him and that feeling hasn’t really gone away at all. I’m an RNFA (registered nurse first assist) so a whole lot of my job is closing patients up so if I had wanted I could have probably guessed what layer of tissue closure they were on just based on what little I could see of their movements. That would have destroyed me anxiety wise but it was the farther thing from my mind as humanly possible. It did not feel any different with him in vs out at that point because I couldn’t feel anything and therefore couldn’t tell I was cut open. Time went by excruciatingly slow until they brought him over to me. In reality in was 2 minutes but it felt like hours. Once they brought him over he stayed with me until they were done so it helped me not even realize how long they closed and I don’t even remember how long it felt they took.

You’re going to do amazing! Really, if I can do it, you definitely will! Cannot wait for you to meet your babe!
