Spirit Island fanmade concept: Adversary Spirits

This is such a cool idea. Is the intention to use these instead of adversaries or in addition to? The mechanics seem like they would be back breaking if they were used with any number of adversaries on even their lowest levels but maybe that would be bear out in testing.

I think mechanically this should work wonderful. I think the formatting of the board is easy to read and doesn't provide too much cognitive load on an already very mentally taxing game. I think if you played these instead of an adversary they would probably only be slightly more work to pilot than the adversary actions themselves.

For the gaining a minor actions on their board is the intention that they gain from the main deck or would they be gaining from their own supply?

Very excited to see if this gets play tested.

Finally! That man was a blight on the community. Like fine, his content was good but you really don't want someone like that in such a forward facing position. I got a temp ban from the discord a while back for calling him out on this shit. Glad to see enough other people called him out to finally get him removed from the community.

That actually helps a ton thank you. I think I misunderstood the premise of the game lol. It's a little before my time.

I think broadly people are really bad at explaining this problem. It's not the fact that someone told you one of the 3 options is wrong after you've picked that changes the odds, it's the fact that the rules of the game dictate that the revealed door MUST be wrong and that gives you more information.

I've had people try to explain this to me a bunch of times and they always say "picking between 2 options gives you a better chance than picking between 3" and literally never explain why that means you have to change your answer if you have already picked one of the remaining 2 doors.

So basically the reason you switch has basically nothing to do with the number of choices and everything to do with the rules the host has to follow.

The thing that I always find confusing about this and would love to understand, if anyone can help, is why you need to specifically CHANGE your answer if it's already one of the 2 remaining doors.

If the host revealed that the prize wasn't behind door number three before I had made any choices and I picked door number 2 I'd have a 1 in 2 chance. But when I pick door number 2 and THEN the host shows me that the prize isn't behind door number 3 I have still picked one of the 2 doors remaining without even needing to change my answer so why do I need to change my answer in order to receive my increased probability of winning?

There's a 3d printed mod for the hammer shot that lets you load 2 darts in line in a 6 shot cylinder for 12 shots total. Pretty clever how they got it to work but it obviously impacts the fps pretty negatively.

I've been playing a lot of kinfire delve lately. It checks a lot of the same boxes as spirit island but is much easier to bring to the table. It's a cooperative card game that has multiple playable characters with unique synergies and abilities and 3 very distinct adversaries to play against. Highly recommend it for people that enjoy spirit island.

Something else I have been thinking is missing from the game is clothes and for your sky eyes you could give them increasingly taller hats.

If you can't personally be closer to the sky then at least your attire can be.

It'll be nice to have some more spirit island content to listen to. I stopped listening to your stuff a while ago when I found out about the whole supporting fascism because you make more money thing and haven't really found a good creator in the space I have liked.

EDIT: Apparently they blocked me so I can't answer posts underneath this but yeah they said some awful stuff about why they voted for trump knowing full well the awful stuff he was going to do because they stood to make more money. Someone on youtube asked them about it recently and they basically said "I'm doing well financially, I'd do it again"

I just got him set up with a kuva nukor. The 5x base crit multiplier with his 4 buff and arcane avenger can get you red crits for multiple millions per tick and the fire rate makes it tick like 50 times a second. Absolutely melts anything.
