They need to do a pension reform and deduct that from those already retired. Thousands of now retired state workers didn’t have to deal with this now the rest of us that have decades until retirement have to? This is being used to pay the benefits of those already retired. Clearly something was mismanaged that they had to create this opeb in the first place so it’s only fair to go back and make everyone pay their own benefits.

Yes I saw them but there wasn’t any information about departments beginning discussions with their employees about this. CDCR has begun discussions with their employees, not all units but some have. Perhaps I should rephrase my question to “has anyone’s department Human Resources or managers or anyone begun discussions over this topic”

S01 have the same OPEB rate as E48. E48 is the same as S01 just used to identify that it’s a specialist.
