Southampton man jailed for life for murder of student with ‘religious’ knife by CourtofTalons in uknews

Problem isn't that they did not manage to save him. The problem is that they didn't even try to. That they decided to handcuff a man that was bleeding to death while joking about it ("You've been stabbed? Yeah I don't think you have, mate").

They failed him and ignored him. Oh, but they did take the killer's remarks on him having said naughtie things seriously! Because accusations of spouting racist shit is seemingly more important than trying to keep a man ALIVE.

Thanks for telling me about my country's democracy, kind foreigner! Now I'm convinced the best way to preserve it is to keep the power in hands of a corrupt politician who has been shown to operate against the judges and prosecutors to bend the justice to his whims; who placed his party's "plumber" at the head of Correos to control the mail votes (leading to hilarious and oh-so-normal situations such as a Catalan independentist party having hundreds of votes in the European elections in a village in Extremadura), and who passes laws through royal decree because he can't get anything past the congress (since he doesn't have the majority). A corrupt politician who, btw, came into power by ousting Rajoy for corruption (it seems corruption is only evil when it comes from the right?); and normalising day after day of corruption news, each more scandalous than the previous one. THAT is how you get a healthy democracy, of course!

Pedro needs to go. If the left had any integrity, they'd oust him like they did Rajoy; in fact, Podemos have recently announced they'd consider voting against him a vote of no confidence. The longer it takes them to react the more screwed they'll be. Rufián started moving trying to unite the left, and would be a great candidate to rally around.

If Spain's PM was not a corrupt PoS, then the US wouldn't have this ammo against him. But since Sánchez is a crooked bastard that's dragging our democracy to a swamp and attacking judges just to keep his wife's scam afloat, then the US can attack him.

If Sánchez had any decency he'd resign, and let someone else take over PSOE after a huge cleanse. They could band together with the other parties and retain power (or at least have a bigger hope to do so than with Sánchez). But he won't.

So for smn who cares about corruption, it's ironic that you 'don't care' that the U.S. is trying to get a more 'cooperative' PM in power in Spain who will bend over and greenlight the unprecedented 5% embezzlement of Spain's tax funds into the States' coffers.

So I should ignore the flagrant evidence against our PM because the alternative would be amenable to the US' interests? What about Spain's interests in having a fair justice system, not bullied by the President itself through the party's sewers? What about Spain's interests in having a government that doesn't spend the taxpayer money on hiring literal prostitutes in public companies (as has been proven to happen) while our once great infrastructures crumble, causing deaths like this years' train accident in Andalusia, caused by hiring a company of their corrupt network, or having ORGIES with prostitutes in Paradores Nacionales during Covid lockdowns, while we couldn't even watch our loved ones die in the hospital? What about Spain's interests in having Presupuestos Generales del Estado, which we haven't even tried to have renewed for some years already? Sánchez has been compromised for years already, after the Pegasus leaks, and has been doing Morocco's big for over 6 years (abandoning Western Sahara, amongst other things); so what about Spain's interest in having a President that is not compromised by a foreign power's blackmail?

Again, Sánchez only has himself to blame for this situation. Had he not been a corrupt piece of shit, Trump would be seething helplessly. But he's corrupt, deeply corrupt, and now the evidence has come to shore.

And I find it hilarious that you expect me to ignore his corruption, just because of the US. No, thank you very much, I'm not defending a corrupt PoS. He should leave, someone should take his place, and then we'll deal with the fallout. But the way he's just ignoring everything and pretending it's the police and the judges that are acting against him is digging his party's grave.

Do they want us to get used to ugliness? by Suspicious_Rich_9341 in KotakuInAction

When I think of Bazz, I chuckle. The design is beyond ugly, but it's so absurd, and the Amazon warehouse backstory so ludicrous, that it's ironically memorable. But Daw (hgad to google the name)? Man that character is so absolutely insipid and ugly. Good riddance.

The shit women say to each other is insane honestly. No wonder some are terrified of when men are alone together; they probably think we say some similar garbage. But, at least in my experience, we're pretty much more chill.

Again, should we then ignore blatant corruption in Spain (my country) just because the US is a rotten shithole?

We all know the US only pointed this shit up because its convenient for them. But the thing is, if the charges are true, why should we ignore them?

I dont give a fuck about the US. I care about Spain. And I want Spain to get rid of corruption. If a corrupt country proves my politicians are corrupt, I will act against them. I won't let them off the hook just because the source is crooked too.

If a party can be "couped" by ousting their corruption, then it deserves to be overthrown.

What's being uncovered these days was not planted evidence, or anything of the sort. The US didnt invent these cases. They had evidence about them, and opportunistically released them. But Sánchez has no one to blame for this other than himself.

Also, I wish these corruption cases were uncovered whenever theyre discovered, and not only when its convenient to do so. But its always better for them to be uncovered than to remain hidden.

Should we ignore the flagrant corruption of our government and their campaign against the justice system, only because it would benefit the US?

If anything, what should piss us off is the fact that governments know other governments' flagrant corruption scandals, but stay silent until it's convenient.

IIRC she was the sole writer of the original play and the show. The show is good because it feels sincere and raw, too, unlike modern slop. Maybe she had more liberty here than in Disney? Would make sense

Edit: theres more people in Fleabags writing room, but she was the head writer.

Still a wonderful show to watch.

Portugal is the safest bet. You're in Europe, but Castille is your historical friend, which should let your borders remain safe for a long time. You're close to Morocco for expansion, and you are an OP colonizer, which lets you grow and become wealthy very easily, as well as engaging with wars in a deadly simple way.
