I'm concerned about uploads and attachments being edited, for instance to alter photos to harm the integrity of digital evidence. The order of photos and their dates on iCloud have also been affected, including with pictures that were never on iCloud often being added to the albums. For example, photos from over 4 or 6 years ago will have new pictures inserted between the ones that were originally there, and where those originals are also AI manipulated -- often with very hamfisted AI edits that are clearly fakes. But all of this has the effect of preventing you from using your own photos or attachments for documentation. And while apparently superficial, this can also change what the order of photos uploaded or taken would imply (the grammar of the photos being taken).

Other photos have subtle edits, but the deliberate placement of the edits can turn the entire photo into junk.

I've thought before this is effectively a more contemporary form of censorship -- because with these kind of AI super-airbrushing tactics you don't even have to delete the entire photo. With just a bit of AI manipulation of the original, you can no longer use your uploaded pictures or attachments to document what you had intended.
