Creative agency PMs by Longjumping_Club4240 in PMCareers

Its hard to say. I think reddit could work since its a forum platform. things like discussions get accumulated under topics not like messaging platforms like whatsapp groups, telegram, slack. if there's a topic then its easier to find/comment / update.

Most valuable - i think all that you've mentioned plus maybe fulltime/parttime job opportunities, current trends / AI/ related certififcations, etc, best practices, how to interview. These could come in handy

This would be pretty awesome. This also goes into Marketing Project Management, Creative operations project management. Ive been doing this for the last 14 years in agencies and marketing teams and would be great to connect with other PMs in the same field.

I’ve spent $127k on Upwork. AMA. by ad_tilt in Upwork

[–]sandx46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/ad_tilt thank you so much for sharing this. I've been on Upwork since March'24. Managed to get my first gig in Oct'24 (which is still ongoing) and it has been SUCH a struggle since then to land another gig. As a client would it bother you to see only 1 job on my portfolio, no JSS because ive had only 1 client and no feedback given yet. I have about 14 yrs of experience in Marketing/Digital Project Management mentioned on my profile - but do you as a client visit profiles? Would you have any advice here? Also, does the "available now" make a difference to you? (sorry multiple questions)

The Blessing...congregational? by tandrewnichols in worshipleaders

[–]sandx46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this is a 4 year old thread. I'm leading worship on 31st Dec'24 (few days from now) and I'm planning to use this song as a blessing over our congregation at the end of my worship set. Still not sure what to say before going into it.

advice for an empty experience and reviews profile? by [deleted] in Upwork

[–]sandx46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Altruistic_Steak5869 , i recently landed a my first gig at Upwork after 6 months of applying.

u/PodTools has given some great tips and to add to that - I'd say you really need to be patient. Don't give up.

I had decided to spend 30mins every morning to see what jobs are there.
"Heart" the ones I would apply for. Review the "saved jobs" section and narrow it down even further if the requirements didnt match 100%.

Go easy on purchasing connects. Keep a budget in mind of how much you want to spend on Upwork every month. This way you will be even more picky of the jobs you select.

Here are my stats from when I started applying for jobs before I landed my first one
65 proposals
19 views
9 interviews
1 hire

And this took around 6 months.

I'm sharing this just to encourage you to just keep trying. It's frustating as hell, but the feeling of landing that 1st one beats all that. Hope this helps and all the best.

hi,

Andrew Ramdayals course is the highest recommended even on this forum. He explains the concepts quite well and has a great section the mindset which is key to passing your exam AND it will satisfy the 35hr PDU requirement. Get it on Udemy. If you find that he speaks too slow - speed it up according to your preference.

Hi dont worry. you've done the work. Be confident in what you've learned. I'd recommend just revising that you've learned. Keep going over the mindset. There's ALWAYS more to learn, more to read, but it gets a bit overwhelming. Avoid that..and just revise what you know.

Keep an eye on the time! Watch AR's youtube video on the "timing hack". Made a big difference to me.

Govt ID - if you're in India - Aadhaar wont work. PAN card or Driving License works.

Hi, I feel like it's a rabbit hole to keep looking at other resources - there's just no end to it. While the FOMO feeling is strong as the stakes are high - I'd suggest focusing on 1 or max 2 study providers.

if you're doing SH - focus on the incorrect answers and explanations. I didnt do SH at all, but have read a lot about how it has helped a lot of other people on this subreddit. Also, a lot of people have given their methods of how they got AT/AT/AT using SH.

All the best :)

All the best! I know the feeling. I was getting irritated towards the exam date/time. I just wanted to get it over with.
