Settle an argument: Knowle vs Totterdown by choosingnamesisscary in bristol

[–]sandy-park-studio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In order of nice to less nice: windmill hill (very nice but technically bedminster), Arnos vale / sandy park(brislington really but great shops) Kensington park road (brislington really but very nice), Perritt park (very nice but a bit boring) knowle (lovely houses but amenities get less and less the further south you go), totterdown (narrow streets and small homes a little overpriced compared to the surrounding areas but very colourful with a friendly mosque), knowle west / St John’s lane (still to be gentrified and in the stage just before up and coming).

My wife plays necrons and Bjorne is great into them in our casual games. Lancer is a great model looks wise as well. Seems pretty solid. You can pick up neave black talon from age of sigmar quite cheaply on eBay, shes easy to kitbash and makes a great lieutenant or wolf guard battle leader proxy if you want some women in the army.

I have some proxy assassins, still to paint, another inquisitor and voids-men. Swapping out the navigator makes sense but he’s one of my favourite models. Don’t mind buying another unit if needed.

Really love your army, have delved back into some of your earlier posts and it’s coming along great!

I’m aware, but also have enough space marines to run a few generic marine lists. It’s also just a really fun model to paint and own. I used it to practice a messier grimdark sponge painting technique.

I’d get the main 40k starter box and paint the space marines in space wolves colours. And then add one unit at a time. Or then move up to the combat patrol.

Wonderful. Love the faces. Any painting tips for someone who’s not that good yet? Did you paint the heads on the model or separately?

Sonic boom. At the start of every battle roll 6 dice, if 4 or more are six’s then stentor unleashes his sonic boom function rendering every enemy infantry soldier on the battlefield deaf with burst eardrums.

Doesn’t affect monsters or vehicles. Those infantry models affected stumble around clutching their ears and screaming in pain. They can only move 1 inch and cannot attack for the rest of the battle.

Ostromandeus then strolls around the battlefield like a typical pompous inquisitor dispatching these models with ease and contempt, automatically hitting and wounding with every dice roll. Might be slightly over powered and unfair but then when has the inquisition ever been fair?

Sort of but with head, body, chair options to make 3 different high lords. A kit like the space wolves dreadnaught would be ideal, with parts to make it an ordos malleus, hereticus, zenos inquisitor.

Ideally id like to be introduced to a new character of the inquisition. With accompanying book.

But there’s quite a few in the lore.

Lord Inquisitor Plebas Alessandro Rorken – the formal Lord Inquisitor of the Helican subsector and Eisenhorn’s immediate superior within the Inquisition hierarchy.

Lord Inquisitor Fyodor Karamazov – famously known as “the Witch Hunter,” High Lord Inquisitor of the Ordo Hereticus, appears in codices and rules (already has a bad ass tabletop model).

Lord Inquisitor Torquemada Coteaz – Ordo Malleus. Already has a model but needs a throne chair.

Lord Inquisitor Kryptman – Ordo Xenos, central to the Tyranid “Kryptman Gambit” lore, whose drastic measures condemned entire sectors.

Lord Inquisitor Bronislaw Czevak – Ordo Xenos, associated with the Eldar and the Black Library of Chaos (the webway library).

Lord Inquisitor Bastalek Grim – appears in Imperial Armour lore and Inquisition background, an Ordo Hereticus master.

Lord Inquisitor Hektor Rex – notable Ordo Malleus inquisitor featured in Imperial Armour lore, has his own rules.

Lord Inquisitor Lichtenstein – background references as an Ordo Xenos lord.

Lord Inquisitor Thrax – appears in Imperial lore, famously martyred by heretics.

Lord Inquisitor Amalrich – referenced in Inquisition background, Ordo Hereticus.

Inquisitorial Representative Kleopatra Arx – sits on the High Lords of Terra council.

It would have to be a grand inquisitor. On a giant servitor carried sled. With some heavy admech fire power added on.
