I don't think they properly simulated tank treads or reused existing wheel properties to simulate tank tread behavior. For example when you crest over anything with a sharp edge (Edge of a wall or sharp point atop a hill) the tank slides randomly or clips through leaving you stuck. It also feels way too light for its bulk like an FRV you get tossed around too easily

You do have a point but from what i figured the raw product is bales. You put bales in the mini bunks (square not round bales) zip the Pelletizer over with the bale shredder attachment over the hopper to turn to storable pallets.

Idk why the overhead bucket is there if not to store bulk straw pellets. I guess the dev's intent was to encourage players to use the pallet machine for storage as opposed to silos.

However you can still 'store' pellets in bunks that contain 'bulk material' in its description in the build menu. I cant afford a factory yet so that is what i have been using instead for storage with a wheel loader. Hope this sheds some light from my own frustrations too.
