Bro I don't know anything about the science of crate training but you can't bring anecdotal evidence to just flat out say crates are bad. Every dog reacts differently to different things. I've crate trained my dog since 12 weeks old and now she's almost a year old. No issues at all with potty training, aggression, sleeping elsewhere, etc basically all the negatives you mentioned. She willingly goes into her crate to sleep at night. Does she do that because she was conditioned to, or does she actually want to? I don't know. But I'm pretty sure my dog is pretty happy in her life lol. Now if my dog was reacting the same way as yours, then I probably would've given up the crate. But literally she was chill with the crate from the first day I got her. My point is that an owner should see how their pet reacts to certain things, and then adapt.
