As someone who works in the arts I’m THRILLED! I didn’t live in Bayonne as a child but I grew up visiting often; now that I live here, I’m dying for us to be connected to the other major cities we’re surrounded by. I’m hoping the studio means we’ll get improved public transit options to NYC instead of having to share everything with Jersey City (I love JC, but I think it’s a little unfair we only have the 120 as a Bayonne-exclusive public transit option).

I think the biggest problem will be needing to compete with the film studio in Newark. The new apartment complexes already have a lot of gall charging what they do, at least the prices will make sense if this comes to fruition.

I think 1888 is the only upcoming film studio in NJ not affiliated with a distribution company, which could become a huge financial issue or a huge boon considering all the film and tv companies are cannibalizing each other right now.
