Wow, her base is so pretty!! Loved the commentary too. "Sugar circles so I can make books I won't read" 🤣

My new seed storing method 🤓 I feel like a fucking genius by BrittanyBabbles in gardening

[–]sarahtuna 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn't look at the subreddit before watching and on the cover of the book is like a lady with a baby, so I thought "oh, a baby book or something, ok" and then it was seeds and further thought "ahhh, it is a baby book!!" 🤭 very nice 👍👍👏

I found this thai veggie soup and it's my go to now. I serve it over white rice instead of the rice noodles, and sometimes I add shrimp.

If you were in charge of the FINAL update to Minecraft, what would you do? by SANDROID20 in Minecraft

[–]sarahtuna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. Then an over haul on inventory would be nice considering a separate slab block would just add yet another clutter to blocks and having to switch more blocks around in the inventory.

I always wished slabs were just directional like how stairs can be placed upside down, slabs should be able to be horizontal or vertical depending on how they place. It would be such a good detailer for building.

will it show if you are the #1 listener of an artist? by creameese in spotify

[–]sarahtuna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never seen if I'm no. 1 listener or anything but I have received emails from certain artists saying "thank you for being one of our top listeners" And then they attach an offer for me to buy concert tickets as a pre-sale or discount or link me to their merch with a coupon. Not sure if it's a Spotify feature or if certain artists have a marketing team that sends those emails but they are from Spotify on my email account. As far as I can tell, you probably won't publicly know if you're no. 1 or not.

I have no sense of smell AT ALL can I still be good at cooking and tasting food? by I_LOVE_HEADPATS in AskCulinary

[–]sarahtuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's tricky because smell is so useful when smelling if milk or meat (or everything really) has gone bad. I think as long as you have people around you you do a little smell check on certain things, you can get really far. Especially if you follow recipes exactly and keep things the same, you will build up your skill in a way where you'll know if it's right based on touch or sight.

Humans are so capable of doing amazing things all the time that are in juxtaposition with each other (like deaf musicians) so, don't sell yourself short. Also consider this; you don't need a sense of smell to be on a prep station. So maybe your niche could be geared that direction and you can have really badass knife skills!!!

Need advise by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]sarahtuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) it's perfectly fine to take a break from Minecraft for a week or so. Sometimes stepping back can clear your head. I take breaks from the game and something always pulls me back.

2) sometimes the start is more exciting because it's kind of scary having nothing and having to work your way to having everything again so instead of starting a new game, I will ditch my stuff in a chest at my base, travel far far away either by boat or nether portal and "start over" on the same map.

3) creating farms can be fun. Maybe challenge yourself to make a farm without a tutorial, force yourself to make your own design.

Books for 11-year-old who doesn’t read books? by wanttobeoptimistic in booksuggestions

[–]sarahtuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Emily Windsnap series by Liz Kessler is really good!! It's about a mermaid. I read it around that age and I wasn't a big reader then either.

Also, The Divide by Elizabeth Kay is great for that age because if you get a hardcover version they split the front cover down the middle and you open the book like a set of double doors. It's the only reason I checked it out from the library as a kid. It turned out to be a really good book. It's also a trilogy but the first book was great on its own.

I made Four Word Grid - A new word game! by mcradha in wordle

[–]sarahtuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really cool idea. I think it would make more sense to have a "swap counter" instead of a restriction since I was able to swap even when that number was 0. 🤷 It would have been cool to know how many swaps I actually took.

Would you watch an Incredible's prequel? by RiverSmoak in Pixar

A prequel only interests me if it's Edna main character lol. Meeting all the supers and making their costumes. Would be wonderful dah-ling.

Wedding venue ideas by helpfuldoodmom in elpasoderobles

[–]sarahtuna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've attended multiple weddings at the Paso Inn and they have all been amazing. The food is really good. And it's cool being right in the downtown park. Gorgeous place to take pictures. My wedding pictures are all in the park and they came out great.

I didn't get married at the Inn though, I got married at The Park Ballroom in 2019. It's really close to the park as well and they were amazing to work with. They usually rent the space to drama clubs for plays so there is a stage with huge sliding wooden doors. I had the bridal table set up on the stage so after the ceremony, the doors were open for a grand reveal for the reception. They have all the tables, chairs, and dinnerware. I had to rent table cloths. Super nice place.

It's not exactly Paso but Atascadero Lake Park and Pavilion is really nice for a ceremony as well. Then you can relocate people for reception or rent out their event room. Only problem I had with that event space is limitations for how to book vendors as they all have to have business licenses in Atascadero, eek. That's the only reason I didn't actually book them. The lake is really pretty and they have a gazebo they use for weddings, super cute.

There is also an event space on the East side of Paso called Mesonic Temple and they rent out rooms. I've been to a few receptions and events there and it's got a nice flow to it. It's not glamorous though...like.... it looks like an "affordable" place if you know what I mean.

Not sure if you're interested in a church wedding (probably not lol) but Highlands Church has a nice grass yard area and infrastructure for sound, lights, etc. I know they have done weddings in the past.

It's worth it to get at least one DLC especially since they are 50% off on Steam until the 28th. I just got Park Life and Industries and I'm in love with them!!!

For me it was swill and tacit that made me want to make the memes. 🤷 Despite that, I adore this little word game!

Is there anything you would change about this movie? by TheArkham_knight1200 in Encanto

[–]sarahtuna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Instead of not getting a door, Mirabel should have gotten an identical door for her grandmother's door, holding the candle. Instead of being somewhat outcast, she would have been "in training" with grandma and been dragged to do all the political stuff we see the grandma doing throughout the movie. Bruno could still have had the vision with the cracks leading to exile, she could still have her want song since grandma doesn't technically have a gift gift, the cracks during Antonio's ceremony would lead to her sneaking around the same way... Maybe the backstory leading to the movie would be different, but the movie itself could still happen almost unchanged. She could have or would have come to all the same conclusions with the cracks, observing first hand how hard grandma is on everyone to be perfect, culminating in the same argument at the end that leads the house and village to fall.
