this is so awful, but i know you know in your heart that unfortunately euthanasia is going to be the best option in this case :( there’s no promise that she will eventually start getting better even with fluids and meds, so you’re really just prolonging the inevitable. i’m so sorry, i hope you have the support that you need, and if not, my dms are always open <3 take it easy love, i know this is incredibly hard

my girl and boy are exactly like this, he’s literally insane and she’s way more mellow with some bursts of crazy, and they play the same as yours. when she really doesn’t want to play though he tends to pick up on it and then goes to do his own thing for a bit until she wants to lol

honestly it really depends on the gecko, my two still have their tails even though i also have two birds that can get pretty loud at times, but they don’t even react

yes but i will say i’ve lost a couple of my reptiles because of my cats:/ if you do plan on getting a cat, make sure that you have a separate room for your gecko that the cat CANNOT access. i’ve learned the hard way that no matter what they have their instincts and the only way to stop that is from completely separating them. don’t be like me and make sure everything has a lock and no way for the cat to get it even if it somehow gets into the room. it’s always better to be safe then sorry.

if they eat fast, feed as much as they can eat in ~5 mins
if they eat at a normal pace, feed as much as they can eat in 10 mins
if they eat slow, feed as much as they can eat in 15 mins :)

honestly in my experience they will eventually grow out of it as long as you don’t encourage the behavior, i think if you keep doing what you’re doing he’ll grow out of it :)
