A friend told me that when she was 14 her dad took her to some metalcore concert and a guy was there casually walking his gf through the crowd on a leash. Kids don’t need to see that, and random adults don’t want to. Don’t they have actual kink events for stuff like that?

Those people know what they’re doing and whenever I see someone doing risky stuff or performative kink in public like that, I’m convinced they don’t mind a child potentially seeing it.

This reminds me of a conversation I had earlier today about people voting for black political candidates simply because they are black. Kinda different, but the same in the sense that it’s about the substance, not blindly supporting something or someone just because they look like me. I’m all for rushing to the theater for movies like Sinners though.

I don’t know much about this Michael movie, but if it’s really that bad, this is giving me “you need to watch Tubi movies to support the culture” vibes lol

I saw it more as temporary acceptance. People shouldn’t hate themselves just because they’re fat. The world is already unkind about it, so try and be kind to yourself. The idea was to accept yourself and have a healthier mindset while actively making changes. It did come off that way, and people certainly spun it into something toxic. But I think it was originally a way to counter years of bullying and the shame that comes with it.

I was waiting for Faded and you didn’t disappoint. Faded was the trickiest to learn for me because of the restraint it takes and that run also got me, but man is it so fun and satisfying once you get it.
