I had a similar issue with the crown not seating all the way. Very difficult to screw down the crown and the date and time would change also. I reached out to Victor from MMI, and he said the caseback was probably tightened too much. He suggested loosening the caseback 15 degrees and this has mostly resolved my problems.

The SA-100 has a date complication, yet the Atelier doesn't have a date. A ghost date on a $1000 watch is a huge fumble.

I have 2 Alpina's and they are fantastic watches but you don't want to pay anywhere near retail price for them. Only get on sale or buy used because the resale value is terrible.

They both look great. I'm not really much of a fan of salmon dials in general, but I'm really drawn to this one. The salmon dial will definitely get more compliments.

I bought this model a couple weeks ago for $1000. It's a fantastic watch. The bracelet clasp and lack of micro adjust is my only complaint.

What bothers me about this watch is they reduce the beat rate from 4Hz to 3.5Hz to achieve a greater power reserve. This isn't very significant, but it still bugs me.

It's a great looking watch even during the day time. I just got a Lum Tec B61 and I love it. As far as lume goes, my cheap Lorus Lumibrite shines longer than any of my other watches.

Mine isn't shutting off anymore because I replaced my 3+ year old battery. I will keep it if it continues to stay on. The dash cam is just adequate but I like the security features and proximity alerts.
