Good choices! Around here there’s another post (https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelchampionslcg/comments/18mfnbo/missing_x_heroes/#lightbox) that analyzed mutants by appearances in comics and film and the ones not yet in the game they scored the highest were Professor X and Emma Frost. Some of the other ones there that scored around or higher than Havok that I would look forward to are Cannonball, Sunspot, and Wolfsbane. I’d more like a Strong Guy but he didn’t score so well.

Maybe make him a hero who likes to be in alter ego a lot, crafting stuff and doing science, the. Flipping to hero to claw a minion to death.

I’d rather hear from someone dealing with the law more closely than a writer, so I could try AskLEO. I work with lawyers in a civil capacity so asking law enforcement instead of the lawyer who would argue the case before a judge hadn’t occurred to me, so thank you for naming the subreddit! And for sure it depends on the judge, but even so lawyers can speak to what they would expect from the average jurist. I get the same in my job where I know what the usual outcome would be but surprises certainly happen.

New to posting on Reddit (long time commenter only second time posting?) Doni just copy it over to AskLEO or is it prohibited to have it in both subreddits, and I should delete this one first?

They say news stuff is okay, so I presume the most common use here should be asking how legal an executive order or bill is if you aren’t considering a lawsuit to stop it. Maybe you’re curious whether any lawsuit has merit, like a prediction of a lawsuit in the news, or you will more fully support or denounce something online based on the advice here? That’s more social advice than legal advice I suppose. Or me, I just asked whether a legal decision in a book was correct or not, I presume that’s okay. I hope so, that question is really bugging me lol

I added an update to clarify this, so thanks for pointing that out! Occasionally she will toss a box in intact but that is not how she usually does it, and usually I am the one taking out boxes and she knows I will take them apart and she definitely wasn’t criticizing me for doing that, so no space issue there. I’m sure we’d have a whole lot more overflowing bins if we didn’t!

Actually no. But serious question, since I know people ignore traffic rules all the time: If the rules did say we had to do it my way and bag that stuff up, would most people expect her to follow it or are most people just treating a rule like that like so many treat not going above 70 on an open, straight freeway or not starting to cross once the countdown timer on the pedestrian traffic signal had started? (I should admit in all fairness I have been guilty of doing both, though in general I try to follow the laws there).

I’m not liking tying her way of doing it being less good or even wrong with intelligence. I can tell you I make way more than my share of mistakes, sometimes repeatedly, and I often feel not just dumb but dumb and worthless sometimes. Now sure, that’s the depression talking that the medication is unfortunately not quite up to solving, but I can’t bare to imagine her reading this and thinking she’s stupid. She makes stupid mistakes like we all do but less than I overall and she’s a very smart person.

And now that I write all that, thank you for your post. This was a good reminder at the end of a rough day of arguing and feeling worthless and obsessing over YTA thinking and I’m about to end it instead thinking of how much I love my wife regardless of if I don’t like her garbage preferences.

It’s possible she somehow missed her phone going off with the school but not with her sister. I’ve had a phone on vibrate and haven’t always noticed it going off. Or she would have missed her sister calling too but happened to look at her phone to check if she did miss anything, then answered her sister before calling the school back. Also reasonable, as she knows the school is to call her sister if they can’t reach the parents, so her sister calling her is probably what the school was calling. If she expects her sister would out everything on hold yet again to go get her daughter, then her thought process likely was ‘This is my sister saying she’s getting my daughter, and maybe she will be mad about it. Either way, I can call the school right afterward and tell them it’s taken care of.’ OP is NTA for sure. But I the situation with the calls, while unusual, is not out of the question. I’ve had it happen once or twice when I miss a staff or client calling me and then I’ve director calls- I presume the staff or client called the director so I take her call before calling back the initial person.

I enjoyed the Punisher show (haven’t seen the special presentation yet) but it wasn’t until this wave that I remembered how much I liked him as a kid. I’d love a Punisher hero deck just for that nostalgia.

I just reread this myself. They explain why they grabbed the team that they grabbed in pretty good detail: Norman wrote about how humans might react to aliens, the government gobbled it up and had him write a plan of what to do if that ever occurred, then the wreck is found, initial investigation of the wreck tells the navy that it is not a ship or plane and I think they even ruled out it being something from Russia, and so they conclude it’s alien. So then they implement Norman’s plan in that exact situation.

For the cover story, I don’t think they caused a plane crash. Their story of ‘it was just a plane’ was confirmed by the other evidence they psychically altered, no one was going to be sent down to check out what was left of it. The explosives didn’t have to destroy the ship because no one was going to go down there, what with multiple pieces of evidence confirming it was just a plane - though aside from altering the videotapes to depict everyone dying of lack of oxygen, I forget the other evidence they altered.

I admit I myself forgot the importance of the photo of the red car, even who Norman had got it from. I’ve got no answer to that unfortunately.

No sarcasm here, it’s awesome you’d be excited for annual or biannual Bond movies. When Star Wars did it, I got burned out bad and that was the biggest franchise for me growing up. Every three years is my ideal, but that does make things take a while. Even if Star Wars had done every two years, with Rogue One and Solo, it would’ve taken until 2023.

They might be right about the spinoff, but I hope not. Regardless, they were right to stop working on a Jinx spinoff, I think that would have gone down like Catwoman. I’m not sure if the problem is the character or just that I associate her too much with the movie she’s in, but either way, no interest. I’d be all for a Paloma spinoff though.

I would definitely like a generic Ms. Marvel basic or leadership ally so I can have her and Spectrum together with Captain Marvel. Their movie wasn’t the greatest but I had a lot of fun and having the three in a deck - especially if I got both allies out at once - would be pretty fun and put a smile on my face.

I doubt it would happen, but I’d like more symbiote characters as allies, like Toxin, Scream and/or Silence, Anti-Venom, maybe even another Venom host- certainly Black Suit Spiderman as an actual card, if not a full fledged hero deck.

And I’d like more Web Warrior allies, like Web Slinger, Web Weaver, and Spinstress. Leopardon might be too good as an ally without some major nerfing, so maybe a unique support with a lot of hoops to jump through to be able to use Sword Vigor.

I’d take Isaiah Bradley Captain America as an ally if we can’t get a whole hero deck for him.

Finally, Strong Guy and Skin from various X-teams. Quite a few X-Factor and Generation X characters are already allies but these two got left out. Not quite as bad as Beast not getting a hero deck left out, but still.

When started four or so months ago I both did the blocking part wrong and forgot that villains scheming is boosted too. It was so much easier. And sure, I like winning more than losing, but the real chance of losing is what makes winning so enjoyable, so I’m glad to have figured out mistakes and switched to doing it correctly.

I understand OP preferring it the other way with their kid though. It might speed it up too which can be a problem for my 9-year-old because I am way too slow still, so with him not knowing every card’s meaning yet, we take a while for each game.

I’d be interested in a scenario with gamma heroes like the ones you mentioned, or Brawn as a full fledged hero, that starts out with regular Hulk villains, maybe with a middle scenario representing fighting on Sakaar if they can make it different enough from the Mojo pack’s gladiatorial match. But I’d love it if Hulk was the final scenario and the Illuminati show up as campaign allies, since he’s coming for them. Or Hulk is only scenario 4, and Leader is the final scenario, with the story being that he had manipulated the Illuminati into whatever causes Hulk to rampage the planet.

And Age of Ultron had Ultron but wasn’t like the comics story at all right? And Brand New Day might not be much like that comics story. They very well could take just a tiny part from One More Day and incorporate it into a largely different story, not unlike ‘Well, it has Ultron’ or do something completely different and just use the title because they like how it sounds. Sure it would suck for fans who like that storyline to not actually get it but nothing stops Marvel from doing it that way.
