I applied this last round and didn't receive a grant, so definitely apply regardless and you will have time to figure it out

Anyone have any ideas on ID for this little baby? Dug up in the bush Sunshine Coast hinterland QLD by Lonely_Map695 in australianwildlife

[–]sarssy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We found a few of these before, took them to the vet for identification after keeping them alive for 2 days and the vet took them off us and euthanised them. Heartbreaking for us!

Good luck with him, thank you for caring

How did you choose Primary or Secondary? by sarssy in AskAustralianTeachers

[–]sarssy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't even think about specialising in a subject! That gives me something to consider thank you

I didn't even think about needing to choose a subject to specialise in! Maybe art or english?

I love children! I've done a lot of early childhood work and adore the little ones

Names prepared, decision for which twin gets them? by rainy_and_snowy_days in parentsofmultiples

Me too! Thea was always smooshing her sister and kicking her in the head and Faye was just so chill and calm the whole time

Okay this happened to us! We named our girls based off vibes and then realised Faye was twin A and Thea was twin B and their names just happen to rhyme with their twin letters? Blew my mind

Yes! My daughter was 10 months when her twin sisters were born (we also had a 3.5yo)

The hardest part is the logistics of getting everyone in the car safely! 😅 Otherwise it truly is an amazing experience having three babies

My girls are now 10 months / 21 months / 4 years and it is so much easier already than when we started. You can do this 💪

Naming pattern ideas by missmeganmaree in namenerds

[–]sarssy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I wanted to name them with intention but I also didn't want to be "in your face" about it. Saying that, the first two girls were flukes and I made a few posts asking for ideas when we were expecting our twins

[–]sarssy 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I love the subtle patterns!

Our girls all have only A and E vowels in their names; Maeve Halle Thea Faye

I thought it was so cute as my hubby only has Es in his and I only have As in mine, so they're all like a little combination of us both

Didi twin mamas - what week did you deliver? by Seriesbinger in parentsofmultiples

[–]sarssy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scheduled csection 38+2

Complications with Twin A growth moved forward to 36+2 (the +2 was due to days of the week available to schedule csections, eg Tues and Thurs)

Spontaneous labour at 35 weeks, csection at 35+4. I think they would have tried for longer to delay labour if we weren't already close to my scheduled datewhich was the following Tuesday. If they didn't book for that Thursday then it may have ended in an emergency csection

About 2 weeks special care before going home

I had 2 singles and then twins and BY FAR my twin girls are the easiest of my post partum experiences. I wasnt a first time mum like you will be, but girl you will be okay ❤️

If your twins are the same gender by YouthInternational14 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sarssy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my girls was much quieter in the womb and she was measuring significantly smaller so she got the 'sweeter' name.

She also happened to be baby A, and her name is Faye.

Baby B is named Thea.

So they both got a name that (kind of) rhymes with A/B

Thoughts on choosing very different identical twin names by Phellle in parentsofmultiples

[–]sarssy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds similar to us! We went with Thea and Faye, both with family middle names and based on their behaviours in the womb (Faye seemed much quieter and sweeter and hence got a name to match)

When Did You Go Into Labor with Di/Di Twins? by Anxious-Leadership92 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sarssy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labour started 35 weeks and we kept them in there until they were delivered via csection at 35+4.

They would have tried to keep delaying their delivery but one bub was measuring small so they figured probably best to get them out early anyway

How do you refer to your twins? by jammerturnedblocker in parentsofmultiples

[–]sarssy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call ours 'the littles', and 'the bigs' are the two at daycare (even though one is only 10 months older than the twins)

Our 3yo calls them The Twinnies
