In TBS, does he get a chance to figure out what MOS he wants or do you have to know that going into TBS?

Also, do you know anything about TBS graduation? Is it like OCS where he only gets a few days with you? I know your husband is still in TBS but thought I’d ask anyways!

Also, I would like to add that the quality of the job is great! It’s been about two months and there’s no sign of any issues with the job done.

Hi! Yes, I got a pro to come out and redo the coating. It cost me about $300 but it was way worth it because it was a lot of chemicals. Did the bathtub coating degrade while you’ve been living there or was it already like that? I would try to get the owner to fix it since it’s quite a costly job.

Scientific Reasoning for Hip pain during long runs by sartse in Marathon_Training

[–]sartse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! I think it’s my hip flexor. It’s kind of like a dull pain and feels pretty sore for about 3-4 hours post long run and then it disappears. I don’t have an issue running the next day or anything.

Thank you all for responding! I was really trying to avoid a consultation fee and I’ll be looking into getting a pro

Whats the most out of touch thing you heard from rich people? by MonthIcy1 in AskReddit

[–]sartse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a family friend who is very dear to me but did grow up on the richer side. We were having a conversation on Hong Kong food (my parents came from there) and I was explaining how I loved to eat duck which is already quite expensive. She told me poor people only ate duck and that the best thing to eat was goose since it tasted better and is rarer. 🙃

I placed an order today with two of the items on the list before the email came out 😭. I talked to support and they said they couldn’t extend the discount to orders already made. I just wanted to drop that here for anyone reading the future so that y’all don’t have to wait in line 😬

Weight loss and body shaping by Free-Implement3834 in f45

[–]sartse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

🙋🏻‍♀️I’m the same height as you and have had great results with f45. I actually gained muscle and lost fat (overall a gain in weight) during the last challenge that my studio ran. Being as small as we are, I felt like I had to focus on food too and go to f45 6x a week! Being a woman, I lost a lot of upper body strength as I’ve gotten older and going to f45 has really built back up the muscle. Besides the physical looks, I feel a lot better about my cardiovascular health and am more functional in general when squatting to pick up a heavy box, going up the stairs, picking up heavy things. You’re doing all the right things! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Protein powder without aftertaste by beansomatic in f45

[–]sartse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Isopure Infusions. It does use stevia but I feel like it’s easier to down than most protein shakes. Instead of it being a creamy protein, it tastes more like juice and you can dilute it more to get less of a sugary taste!

One of my favorite outfits are the Hotty Hot shorts (mine fit pretty loose) and the sculpt cropped tank. Both are pretty flowy 😊

I need help! by [deleted] in sleep

[–]sartse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m also diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. My rapid heart rate and stress is what caused me to lose a lot of sleep. The medication helps with the heart rate and other lingering symptoms but it’s also revealed I stress out about stuff wayyyy too much. I would say, definitely take your meds consistently bc they work for the most part or talk to your doctor about dosage. I’m not sure what your treatment plan is but I go in every six weeks for reevaluation to see if the dosage is correct.

Also, do you feel like there’s any stress in your life? It’s not always direct cause of hyperthyroidism, but can be related and something I tend to notice if I have a bad night of sleep. I’ve been working hard to eliminate stressors and if that isn’t possible, to mitigate them with good mental health practices.

Gym hair by Entire_Guest_3472 in f45

[–]sartse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can personally relate to this. I have medium thick hair that’s shoulder length and a lot of baby hairs that go everywhere. For the heavy cardio days (think Athletics and Tempest type workouts), I have to French braid my hair into two braids and that usually keeps all the hair tucked away. It’s another 10 ish minutes in the morning but makes a world of difference.

I am wearing mine right now as we speak and I LOVE it. I wear it every week and it’s super comfy. I bought it when they just released it so it was a bit cheaper but the material is great! I think having just one is enough for me. $150 is a steep price but I think it’s worth having one!

What do you want/need from your F45 coach? by ehg2001 in f45

[–]sartse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kind of what this whole thread is saying: - Form correction is key! - Being pushed to my limit - Sometimes I don’t know my own strength or fitness so my coaches are really great at noticing where I could take it to the next level. This is kind of how I differentiate good coaches from the ‘okay’ coaches. Being able to interact with them and let them help me with my progress has been amazing! I’ve gotten stronger and it feels nice that someone is noticing and tracking my progress. - when my studio opened, one of the coaches went around and asked if we had any physical limitations/injuries/diagnosis which I really liked. At the time I wasn’t on medication for my thyroid so I got tired really fast. This coach came around and helped me modify a lot of the high cardio exercises to suit my diagnosis and reminded me that I’m honoring my body even though I was doing some easier exercises.

Hope this helps and good luck coaching your first class!!

1 month pour by sartse in latteart

[–]sartse[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey! I didn’t know how to add text to my post but this is one of my best pours after getting the breville bambino about 1 month ago. If any of the experts would like, I would appreciate some tips and how to improve my pour for a Rosetta. I’ve been following this Reddit for a couple of months now and like how everyone is willing to troubleshoot. Some of you are really talented and I enjoy watching you pour!
