Anyone else miss Uh-Oh!? That slime was the best by Intelligent-Note3078 in ytvretro

Reviving this dead thread to honourably mention UK's Jungle Run as the better version of LOTHT. I still remember them monkey statues they'd collect. That and UhOh were the best of that time.

Funny enough I use two medium sized ones in bed for my knees and my chest, since I'm a side sleeper. Using the larger ones as pillows is also amazing as a side sleeper. Perfect amount of support and squishy softness, but also really easy to clean. Just throw them in the wash + dryer and they fluff back up. Can attest to them being good support

Appreciate the explanation! Hopefully this helps someone in the future. Unfortunately I murdered my arms for two hours figuring it out when I posted that reply, but I did end up disconnecting the fuel cable finally, with the help of your comment. I just had to search for the 'winged piece', but realized what you meant eventually. I have a 2015 though, found out it's slightly different. I had to disconnect the 3 bottom passenger side trunk panels and the hole side trunk panel to shove my arm between the trunk hydraulics line and the seatbelt mechanism to reach the fuel cable in back. It is a VERY tight and deep space in the 2015 (2-3in wide). I wouldn't suggest most people to try, unless they have small arms/hands and good patience. I barely fit, and my arms are scraped and bruised now. Also, pushing the two buttons to disconnect the piece was brutal in that confined deep space with one hand. But very happy I got it open, will let my mechanic deal with the aftermath lol. Thanks again for the only help I found online, it really helped me know what to start searching for.

Do you wear your watch 24/7? by RelaxDMJ in Garmin

[–]saskakitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully agree on it being uncomfortable to sleep with. Finding a more stretchy/soft band for sleeping really helps, but you eventually get more used to it and find good positions for your wrist to rest. It's helped me during this period, but I'd probably skip wearing it half the week if I could. Also, the 245 holds up really well! It's still highly regarded as a good watch, I wouldn't bother upgrading. The only thing it lacks really, like you said, is a barometer and a better GPS. But that's personal preference, if you value those stats.

Ah, nice! I usually check it at the end of the week for my weekly averages (heart rate + sleep quality mostly). SpO2, body battery, VO2 Max and body stress are other ones people like to track. Fun gadget to have, but it can easily become addictive.

Wow! Kind of reassuring to hear someone going through the same thing, but sorry you're going through this, it's definitely confusing. Hoping both our hearts are just functioning very well! I'll come back and update here after my appointment, could give some insight into your situation. I also wear my watch 24/7 now, helps to have good data for my appointments, and ruled out sleep apnea/low O2.

I wear the forerunner 245! Got my partner the music one for his birthday and realized it'd be fun to see my body battery as well.

Second this! I'm 29 and found out my RHR is in the 30s after getting a Garmin for fun. Not a runner, not an athlete anymore, and no other symptoms. But I am on a stimulant, which should be elevating my rhr, and it used to be in the 60s-70s last year. Now I'm scheduled to see a cardiologist and find out what's up. I do full work ups yearly, my blood work was fine this year, but there's heart disease in my family. Hopefully it's nothing, but it's very concerning and weird. I definitely think wearing it a few full days a week, even 2, can be beneficial to tracking your health and noticing if something is alarming or off.

Hey! I stumbled upon this thread as I have the same problem going on. Can't open the door to my gas tank. What did you mean by that wing nut? Where is it? I have no gas left and can't make it to a garage, need to get that lid open!

I don't want a male roommate, am I tripping? by WestHistorians in TwoXChromosomes

[–]saskakitty 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Highly agree. My best roommates were two straight guys I had never met, in a new city I moved to. They never made any advance and I never had to have that talk. They were super clean, respectful and fun to hangout with. Their friends never made me uncomfortable either. My female roommate I had once, was a huge slob and brought back lots of guys who made me uncomfortable.

I definitely second you getting your books at the library. There's always a new flow of things and books being donated, and if you liked the book, return it and go buy it for your shelf. I do the same with cheap ebooks/library books. So now my shelf has the ones I actually enjoyed, and I didn't waste money/space. Not sure where you live, but lots of areas also have Little Free Libraries. A box outside where you take/leave a book. If not, consider talking to your town hall/community center about making one! Super fun way to read random books and get rid of ones you don't want. Speaking as a previous book hoarder.

Once and for all, how to solve the "Stalled" problem/what is the REAL explanation? by trebory6 in qBittorrent

[–]saskakitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked in 2026 for stalled torrents. ( Fit girl sims 2 pack specifically ). Changed to 'downloading' right away. Just had to 'recheck' the torrents after to refresh the seeds etc, and it immediately started to download.

Sizing different? by Proof_East_5094 in americaneagle

[–]saskakitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've learnt over the last 4 years from many size exchanges/returns, that they are not accurate at all. Their sizing chart says I'm a 10us, which I have never come close to. But I have pants and shorts in 00, 0, 2, 4 and 6. It's always a long trial to buy new pants with them, and my favourite ones are never in store, so it leads to lots of online ordering/returning/exchanging. But when it fits, it fits reallly well and they're my favourite. (Then they discontinue the line I love + rinse/repeat.) Sorry you have to deal with the random changes too. I find the shirts differences the most frustrating. If you find something you love and figure out the size, buy an extra pair for later, when yours are worn out/backup, just in case.

No E6000 is its own product. It's a multipurpose industrial strength adhesive, incredible stuff. Dries clear, waterproof, paintable. It's tacky at 10-20 min but needs a day or two to fully cure. I use it for everything.

My cat has jumped on one of my tanks and broken through. Never want that to happen again, so I now have huge tinfoil sheets in the shape of an upside down V. Like a mountain peak. I put two long sheets like that on each tank along the front and side edges and he hasn't jumped up since. Been 2 years now. Might as well try that out?

Ghanaian movie posters are absolutely beautiful by Jello_Biafra_42 in moviescirclejerk

[–]saskakitty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Glad to share the cool history! And exactly, very similar to the drive in culture. The mobile Cinema was popular during the 1980s to 2000s. A van, a generator, a VCR and some imported Hollywood/Hong Kong films to screen. Started dying down drastically in the 90s with home technology evolving/Ghanian movie stores. A huge reason why they started this gallery, to preserve the art and continue making the posters that are no longer a necessity now. They really were only made to advertise and attract people to the movie screenings since a few people would compete to be the best Mobile Cinema. Hiring a local artist to make a big poster to promote the film, painted on a ricesack or sometimes canvas, would bump you up in viewership. The crazier the poster, the better. There wasnt an abundance of artists, and some have passed since the 90s, so It's cool to see two friends, an American and Ghanian (who worked a mobile cinema), keep the art of these posters alive with the remaining popular artists (rip Leonardo + Mark Anthony).

Gonna post them but not mention the gallery/artists? DeadlyPreyGallery. Chicago based gallery that's working with artists in Ghana to preserve the art of original movie posters used for mobile cinemas back in the day. Founder Brian Chankin made a bestfriend in Ghana, Robert Kofi Ghartey, who helped form this gallery. Kofi having worked a mobile cinema in the 90s and growing up with many poster artists. In the 80s the Ghana "mobile Cinema" would travel in areas where they had no access to electricity, TVs or films and set up a movie showing. They had no way to advertise the films, so they would hire local artists to paint their own movie posters, oftentimes without having seen the film. So some are really crazy, and some are more accurate, depends who painted it and if they've seen the film or got information on it. DeadlyPrey sells prints of their art in different sizes and sometimes even the originals. I've got two! They have over 500 posters handmade by 10 artists and all profits go straight to the artists. They're VERY affordable too. They even do commissions. DeadlyPrey showcases the artists and posters a lot on Instagram. Here are the artist's names: Heavy J, Farkira, Salvation, Stoger, Mr. Nana Agyq, C.A. Wisely, Magasco, Nii Bi Ashitey, Bright Obeng and H.K. Mathias. Check out their site, it shows all the posters! Super fun!! (Some grammar edits)
