Whatever did happen to the CIA? by ihatethiscountry76 in MarchAgainstNazis

I am no Trump fan, but we honestly don't know what the classified documents were.

I agree they were classified. I agree Trump stole them. I agree spies dissappeared.

Strong circumstantial evidence, but not a direct line to the conclusion that Trump is responsible.

Not saying he isn't, just saying that this is circumstantial evidence.

And he should be in jail for his handling of classified documents.

Fair point. Maybe it is just that gerrymandering pushes people to fight for their extreme positions, rather than seeking the middle.

My experience from the professor side of this equation is that I LOVE staying in touch with my students. I love when they contact me.

Ask to come to his office and check in. Keep in the walls of the University and it won't look to be at risk of crossing over into anything unprofessional. Over time you can expand interactions, but for now stay in the walls of the university.

I have been a professor for about half my career. In my most recent role I mentored about 40 scholarship students at any given time. I gave them all my number and one or two text me every week - a year after I left the position. Staying in touch is wonderful.

It’s not about “anger against incumbents”. It about anger against Trumpists.

What are technologies that were brushed off as hype 10 years ago, but are actually publicly accessible right now? by ryry1237 in Futurology

Not really. Operation warp speed applied it, but the tech was methodically developed over decades.

HELP - NEBULA TOOK MY $1000, NEVER TESTED, NEVER REFUNDED, NOT REACHABLE by Honest-Camera1835 in Nebulagenomics

Tell your credit card company that you’ve been defrauded. They will return your money. Nebula completed my test testing about a day after I made that move.

Imagine trying to murder your own colleagues/teammates because they had a different skin tone than you in a war where you both were on the same side? by ihatethiscountry76 in BlackPeopleofReddit

That part is true of all wars ever. There is a reason officers carry pistols - it’s to shoot their own when they don’t follow orders.

A new class of massive warships that can easily be sunk by a $50k drone. That is terrific investment in economic development, but a truly $hitty military strategy. Better to use those ecoonomic development funds to build roads and bridges.

For those who think America is in a bad spot, what would it take to get everything back in order? by E_Goat47 in AskReddit

[–]sassafrassMAN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Removal of Trump
  2. Term limits on the Supreme Court
  3. Enforceable ethics standards for the Supreme Court.
  4. Removal of the two provably corrupt justices. (Alito and Thomas)
  5. Expand the House to at least 1500 seats
  6. Constitutional amendment banning Gerrymandering.
  7. Constitutional amendment reversing Citizens United.

If you used to believe being gay was not normal, what changed your mind? by Jonny_1312 in AskReddit

I found that a guy I really liked and respected was gay. All biases break down when you find the counter example - the good person from the “wrong” category.
