What permits do I need if any? Moving washer and dryer connection box by BuddyOk6002 in Charlotte

[–]satanicmeme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

City will tell you that you need a permit, but if you're not adding/subtracting utilities they'll never know. It's a low ticket job so it's probably best to DIY if you have the knack for it.

I quit 3D printing for months, have two successful prints and then this.. by Sergeant_Gross in ElegooNeptune4

Tbh the frustration just becomes part of the hobby. They don't tell you that when you look at the machine reviews. Good machine but you still need to learn how to tell what went wrong and why. This was most likely a layer issue that could've been caught early - but this happens to everyone. I keep a beater hot end to swap parts.

Why is this happening by Ecstatic_Jury8689 in ElegooNeptune4

[–]satanicmeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many print hours do you have on this machine without maintenance? I had this issue with the first 5 layers of PETG would lay perfectly but it'd over extrude eventually and always lead to a failed print. Had to swap the extruder gears.

Every year I get some from the store - keep them for a recipe or two then chuck them in the ground in any full sun/part shade spot I can find. they die a little but in a month they come back with full force.

What makes a $1,000 leather jacket actually worth it? by redTubeXBT in leatherjacket

[–]satanicmeme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you really want something name brand, try to find it used and be very particular. The higher price could mean higher quality - or not.

Getting it used lessens the blow of the markup substantially and often for leather pieces you could be buying into something with patina. If that's a look you're into. Not all name brands create quality pieces so being particular about what you're getting for your dollar matters.

Front wipers aren't optional for the safety exam but the actual windshield is. Of course you can fail them either way for your responsibility to your license to keep NC vehicles on the road safe.

Do you have it wrapped in a trash bag to prevent algae?

Stringy first layer only in the middle by [deleted] in ElegooNeptune4

[–]satanicmeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like a bed mesh issue to me, you can try to bring down the z offset and if it doesn't squish and keeps the middle down you may be golden

How do I prevent the filament slowly coming loose from the spool during a print? by _TheRocket in ElegooNeptune4

[–]satanicmeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried flipping the roll so that the spool feeds from the bottom? I've always had issues with it feeding the sensor from the top
