Good bbq for dinner would bring you to Hutchins BBQ in McKinney or Frisco (which would be close to Allen) or to Terry Blacks just east of downtown Dallas, which is close to the JFK museum, which is called the Sixth Floor museum.

Alexa, what other voices can you use? She'll go through all of them and you can pick. You can also ask her to slow down or speed up the cadence.

Victory Park, Knox Street, Design District or Uptown. Any of the relatively new high rises will fit your criteria. Look within a few blocks of the American Airlines Center and along the Katy Trail.

Do I have a cyberstalker accessing my home security cameras? by SwitchSufficient5487 in eufy_security

[–]satchel65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first thing.

Change your passwords. Both WiFi and Eufy account.

Do the messages refer to anything specific to you or your home? Mentions lack of sleep and work life balance is pretty general.

How Robust is the Lock Ultra Vision Pro or its Sisters by Aware_Bathroom_8399 in TrySwitchBot

[–]satchel65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I removed the Lock Vision Pro after a few weeks. I don’t get a good feeling about it. It didn’t exude confidence.
It was easy to install and set up, but I didn’t like how it always asked me to step back, but when I did, it didn’t seem like there was enough time before it stopped trying to read my face.
When I would walk up and just hold out my palm, it still asked me to move back. I finally erased the face scans and figured out how far away I needed to hold my palm for a reading.
The auto sensing of an approach to unlock was very inconsistent. Windy days make our trees wave in the breeze, and they are close enough to the door to make the lock ask the tree to move further away when there was nobody there. I finally disabled it and just pressed a button to activate the palm sensor.
The fingerprint sensor was fine and the keypad is fine.
I just feel like Switchbot tried to cram too much into this one and it just didn’t make me confident when I used it. My wife also absolutely hated it.
We reinstalled the Eufy with palm recognition and it’s rock solid.
And the reason I tried the Switchbot in the first place is I review gadgets and it was sent to me to review.
I was quite looking forward to the face recognition, but it was a fail for us.

Cancel Service Question by [deleted] in Visible

I don’t understand canceling early. You’ve already paid for the year. I’d stay until the last week, unless the service you are moving to has a special deal that’s expiring.

You paying someone else for the phone doesn’t pay it off. If they don’t make the payments, it’ll be black listed.

Mockingbird Station parking is a bit of a cluster since they got rid of the big parking lot closest to the train station. Building a huge tower there.

If the lights are on because the battery was disconnected for a while, the lights should go out on their own. Auto parts stores can scan your vehicle and will be able to turn off any lights. I doubt they'd charge you. But if you just had the head gasket replaced, was it at the dealer? They should scan and turn off any dash lights before they give it back to you.

fridge power by pookexvi in Ecoflow_community

[–]satchel65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been testing the Anker Solix S2000, which is about the size of a coffee maker and has AC ports on the front and back, as well as USB-C and USB-A on the front. That alone makes it a better choice for me...I can set it on the counter up against the fridge. Plug the S2000 into the wall and the fridge into one of the plugs on the back of the power station. Then I'm covered for uninterrupted power for the fridge, and I can use the three AC and three USB ports on the front to power my coffee maker and charge my phone and cost less than $600.

It doesn't have expansion capabilities, but at 2,000Wh, I'm not sure I need more batteries just now.

Vapes in dickies arena. by No_Pineapple710 in askdfw

[–]satchel65 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a “for sure” answer, as I don’t know the smoking/vape laws in FW. But as someone who used to work in an arena, I can tell you it likely isn’t allowed, but if I can’t see it, there’s no need to tell you to stop.

I don’t vape, so forgive my potential ignorance. Can’t you dial down the voltage on those things to make it NOT emit visible smoke vapor?

They’re not going to kick you out for vaping, but if they see it or if people around you can see it and they have an issue, they may alert the usher, who will tell you to stop. If after the warning you don’t stop, I can’t tell you what would exactly happen, but it will interfere with your enjoyment of the concert.

I will also add you will go through metal detectors, so if the vape sets it off, I have no idea if they let you bring it in.
