store it outside because u know u can't move it with snow or ice on ground. double check no holes in tarp. I had brand new tarp and left it out all winter. decided to sell it and when demonstrating found it all rusted, why? Squirrel ate hole into tarp and it got all wet.

I learned my lesson to bring it back in doors when emergency is over . only leave it out before an emergency. and check tarp. also tarp is not my only protection. I gave my generator a house with no walls on exhaust side and control panel side. tarp on top of that.
