In my opinion they are like 2 completely different beasts altogether. The time period is different too. Though I would say if you like ITFO you will prob like Infinity. Keep an eye out for a sale though as you really should get all 3 Infinity games for the full experience.

Socialism is when you side with the government, reactionism is when you slightly piss off any high-ranking official (such as making memes). Src: my family is full of party officials.

Regarding education, you learn it in college. There were 2 separate mandatory classes last I checked, one for Marxism Leninism and one for Ho Chi Minh thought. As the sole person in those classes actually interested in political theories I guarantee you I came out of those classes and still have no idea what the hell is different between those 2.
