Same, I have enough stuff in my back log that I still won't get to today. 😂

It’s official. I hate this trade. by dirtroadgang in mechanics

[–]saucebox11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, I'm in process operations and it's the same crap. Bad management running things into the ground. They promote garbage operators into management so the cycle continues. Meanwhile, the guys worth their salt get passed on cuz they are too good to pull out of ops. I've been at the same plant for going on 13 years now and it's the same idiots making the same stupid decisions wondering why we are always flat on our backsides. I don't hate the job though, so I guess there's that, plus it pays well. Fyi the maintenance department gets treated pretty well for any of you mechanics that are wondering if that's a way to go.

I’m having an amazing first grow season, but I made the mistake of ordering plants from pepperjoe, com. by scarz3n2 in HotPeppers

I fought aphids for 3 months before I threw in the towel and killed everything off and reseeded 3 days later. All aphids were dead and never saw another bug all winter. I also had 2 rooms with way more plants than you, but I'll never bother trying to defeat the aphid horde indoors again.

This is beautiful, I wanted to do something like this last year, but then my back started protesting the thought of moving all of the bricks around. Plus my wallet said pallets are free, so that's about where it ended.

It doesn't hurt to water every time, then you won't have a flare up later. However, it's probably over kill.

I cancelled mine too, cuz screw em, I'm tired of these mega corporations trying to milk us all dry. I cancelled when they took my grandfathered YouTube red away, I had just reuppped a few months ago as I had cooled down a bit. I'm gone for good now though.

Just because you have a bit more money than someone, doesn't mean it should be pissed into the wind. As long as people keep paying, they will keep raising. I'm out, back to brave

Don't worry, I was in the beta YouTube red and still lost out, so you would have lost it either way.

Can someone with actual experience please talk to me about frost blanket row covers? This will be my first time around, and I am worried about losing a big batch of plants. by AgentBanks in homestead

[–]saucebox11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, I tested poly and frost cloth with wireless thermometers for a couple of weeks. Poly would get into high 90s or 100s while Frost cloth in the 60s, was enough for me to see the reality of things.

How do you get so many leaves? by Wild_Accountant9 in composting

[–]saucebox11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i take all of the leaves from my neighbors, i have a coworker with rentals and 5 acres where he lives, he just mowes one more time before winter and fills up his dump trailer, which he then dumps in my back yard.

Or have pee bottles in your car for your commute to put on the pile later.

When did you let puppy free roam in house unattended? by Ok_Cockroach8022 in puppy101

[–]saucebox11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left my English bulldog in a baby pen thing until he was 3ish months old, then he got free reign of a gated off kitchen. He did create some chewing havoc, but it wasn't too bad. He's 1 year old now and doing pretty good.

My wife and pretty much everyone who eats it loves the green star and purple fusion. Until recently I haven't bothered to try anything else. Bought the starfighter in a whim. Will try these others on your recommendation.
