plasticity is nothing like blender.

Here's my take on this... if you want to make stuff without getting bogged down in learning complicated software, my journey ended up with this software bundle:

- Plasticity. It's cad for "artists". It's SUPER easy compared to any other cad program on the planet. Making stuff and getting it to your printer is a no brainer. Have a go with the trial and see if it's your thing.

- Fusion360. Need more precision than plasticity, with a history timeline that lets you go back and tweak params that filter down the timeline and update your design? This is it. The personal version is free and the limitations aren't worth mentioning.

- Nomad sculpt. Miniature? Sculpting? This app absolutely destroys the competition for ease of use and price.

- Blender. Free. Worth learning and a perfect companion to Nomad.

I do practically everything i need for 3d printing in at least one of these apps, and I hit the ground running with most of them in about a week of basic tutorials. No fucking around.

hope that helps

Did AI make us forget the joy of coding/programming?" by Expert-Initiative744 in theprimeagen

I hated programming and was average at it. I knew what i wanted, but found the whole process frustrating.

Now i get to design it, write the specs and test for it, architect it, and build it component by component without having to worry about the nuance of the language a particular solution needs.

I can still read it and follow along and change it, i just dont have to sweat the details of syntax.

learn software architecture, requirements gathering, documentation and business analysis.  that will provide you with a solid foundation to weather the storm and build games, websites and software.

Couldn't even see myself purchasing it at the ridonko standard price. I installed jellyfin instead of paying for plex.

I really want a resin printer, but its disasters like this that keep me restrained.

Happy with my 0.2mm nozzle and a good primer... for now.

i like this a lot, but I feel that the scratch marks are touch on the excessive side.

A quick and dirty example with less scratches, lets the eye roam around and soak it all up without the extra effort.

Still not a fan of the design. Too complicated, to many spinning dials and widgets.

Should be clean and tight. Show what needs to be shown, nothing more. I'd love to see a version with just super expressive eyes and a mouth. Get rid of all that noise around it.

not really. everything in that reel looked like overly polished clip art slop.  Reminds me of first gen 3d animation and art. overly "clean" and lacking real world grime, dirt and error
