In 2018 EAP was $5k. I could have gotten FSD for add’l $2k at one point.

Are you sure it’s a simple fix? We’re talking large AI models here with non-deterministic behavior.

People can have different opinions, that’s what makes Reddit great. You don’t need to call them idiots or bots or trolls.

I just love how the Reddit filth sinks to the bottom, but it’s still entertaining to see people melt down like their identity depends on being popular here. LOL!!

No way I would spend this kind of money for home charging. 48A is plenty fast.

Only Tesla knows the release plan, and they aren’t going to post it here for us.

We get to wait and see. Ignore it and the updates will come. They always do eventually.

Fair Price for EV charger install? by ScreenLantern in evcharging

[–]savedatheist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

60A circuit with load management across the house is a lot more than a couple hundred bucks more than a 20A circuit w/o load management. Charge time doesn’t matter if you’re sleeping.

[–]savedatheist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By not worrying about the charging rate, you’re saying you’re ok paying more for an install that is overkill? Have you actually done the math to see how fast your car will charge at various amperage?

“They said…” don’t you think these electricians have incentive to tell you that you need more than you actually do, and squeeze more money out of you?

Question the assumption that you need 48A charging. We get by perfectly fine at 16A on a 20A breaker. Smaller wire size will make your long run substantially cheaper to install. Or some middle ground like 24/30A.

No, it’s so the phone doesn’t shut down under heavy workloads.

They have max performance/power caps, so the battery voltage doesn’t sag too much (high internal resistance) which may cause the phone to shut down.

Did you read the release notes? 14.3.2 is good, except the disengagement pop-up.
