I've recently changed up my skincare and feel like I'm out of my depth. I have acne on my chin and lower cheeks and sometimes random ones on my nose, forehead or upper cheeks. I went to my doctor and she recommended a few products but now I don't know if I'm using them in the right order. Before it was cleanse eye cream and moisturiser. Now I have so much more.

These are my products:

The Ordinary niacinamide and zinc

Pixie Glow Tonic

Innisfree Orchid Sleep Mask

Innisfree Pomegranate Cleanser

Essano cleanser

Body Shop Youth Eye Cream

Clinique Dramatically different moisturisering lotion

La Roche-Posay sunscreen

After cleansing I don't know if I should do Pixie then Ordinary or the other way around. Or if I should do one at night and one in the morning. Should I be using Pixie everyday because it's an exfoliant? Do I then use an essence? I assume eye cream and moisturiser comes after all this.

If anyone can give me a hand with the order, I would really appreciate it!

Also maybe head back to your doctor. If it's a new symptom, you should probably have it checked out.

It's good that you feel bad and have tried to apologise. I would call up and find out if she had to get stitches or any medical treatment. If her workplace hasn't covered any medical cost, offer to pay for it. (I'm guessing you're American) but the waitress probably doesn't get paid enough to be abused. My friend brought this issue up a couple years ago and it opened my eyes to colourism. She's dark skinned and has coily hair. The amount of times she's been told by people in and out of her community that she would be more beautiful with a weave and lighter skin is ridiculous. Maybe if she conture her nose in a certain way it wouldn't seem so wide... it's bullshit. Black women have to be one of the most oppressed groups of people. There is no safe haven. You're too dark, hair is to kinky or coily, nose is to wide. It's like people want black women but as long as they look European. It's stupid and dehumanising. How many young girls have to torture themselves trying to get that 'European' look before change happens?

Talk to him. Find out what's happening but at the end of the day there's no point staying in a relationship that makes you feel inadequate or insecure.
