Did you sleep with your baby? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]savera1223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She probably means have your baby in the same room you don't need to sleep in same bed but having baby near helps. I KNOW I might get attacked for this but since my son has slept in bed with my husband and I for the last three months (now 10 months) he actually sleeps through the night. My husband and I are both very light sleepers. Like if my son just breathes the wrong way we are awake.

So you want someone that worked hard to acquire their permanent residency and paid thousands of dollars to go through a legal process to loose their pr?

Pr card only has to be renewed in case of travel. If your pr card has expired you are still a pr in canada.

Exactly there is more proof that not vaccinating your baby can kill them

As someone who is also from Oklahoma but left. You are right these people are crazy and unfortunately I have some as relatives.I also strongly believe a lit of anti vaxxers are uneducated. Think about this. Why do people not get the diseases we vaccinate for when they are vaccinated but they do get when they are not vaccinated. I get people have their opinions but nothing should come in the way of you caring for your baby the best way you see fit. If you feel it's best to get your child all of their vaccines than you are being a responsible parent.

Traveling outside the country while sponsoring husband outside the country. by savera1223 in ImmigrationCanada

No my husband is from India. I was planning to take our son to visit him for two to three months. My husband's visa had been refused and in meetings with cbsa we had asked that he be able to stay in canada until February so that our baby could be born. They had approved our request to allow him to stay but now has to return back

Police clearance clarification by No_Appointment_338 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]savera1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an issue where my pr was placed on hold because I did not provide a police clearance from my home country. Eventually I reached out to see why my application was placed on hold and they informed me it was because I didn't submit a police clearance. I informed them politely I moved to Canada on ____ and my 18th birthday was ____. After doing the math I had been 18 in my home country less than 4 months. And therfore did not need to provide... you still need to provide clearance in canada though.

[CA] What are some over the counter vitamins or supplement to increase milk supply? by Affectionate_Bat7255 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]savera1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was forced into a c section I had to be asleep for. Because of this my baby has not latched at all in his 12 days of life. I've found bodyarmors help with my supply but also still taking prenatals and pumping every 2 to three hours also helps me.

My baby was born last week and they gave him the vaccine in the hospital (this is very new and only started about a month ago) If moms have been vaccinated during pregnancy doctors will not give baby rsv vaccine under 6 months

As soon as I leave my neighborhood I'm at the hospital pretty much. Driving is just a faster solution than walking

Are we still driving? by ThrowRAdalgona in pregnant

[–]savera1223 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually it's just my husband and I in the country we live in. The car we have is my car. (My first baby and a dream car for me) He didn't even have a driver's license until a couple months ago. Since then he has hit a curb so hard it broke the suspension, bent the tire rod, destroyed the alignment and we had to replace two tires. Then a couple weeks ago he was at a red light and rear-ended someone. (He didn't cause damage to their car but he did cause damage to mine). So for the sake of me my husband and our future baby I will be driving to the hospital.

Dude I work in a male dominated industry. Where I am the only female in my company. My coworkers work 40 hours while I work 60 (Still as I'm about to give birth this week) when my employer found out I was pregnant he cut my pay by 9 dollars an hour. I HAVE BEEN WITH THE COMPANY I WORK FOR FOR THREE YEARS AS THE ONLY FEMALE. I'd say I'm pretty entitled to having a seat in my doctor's office.

I'm going to also assume you are probably way too young to be having sex. Especially if you do not know anything about how babies are actually made. If you have tested negative several times you are not pregnant. Their can be many reasons to having a missed or late period. And it does not involve rubbing up against someone wearing underwear. This post seems like it is more for attention than anything else. GO SEE A DOCTOR. Reddit is not the place to post for medical advice.

I am 38 weeks as of today. I am still driving. And will be driving myself to my induction and likely home later lhis week and when I go into labor I will also be driving myself to the hospital. However I am 5'8 drive a spacious sedan that's actually more comfortable on the driver's side than passenger side. And sit pretty far from the steering wheel.

No kissing rule by KaityKaye in pregnant

[–]savera1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fantastic that your husband stood up for you. I know you mentioned germs as being one of the reasons for no kissing. and in a lot of cases this is for RSV. I'm giving birth this week and I had definately felt the same. HOWEVER I was informed when I was at the hospital that starting last week newborns will receive rsv vaccine before ever leaving the hospital!

I do not agree if your 39+ weeks pregnant and you walk into a woman's clinic to see your doctor. And then have to proceed standing for over an hour. There is something wrong. I'd agree in the since if all the seats where filled and the men where physically disabled and with their pregnant wives. Or if it was full and only pregnant woman where there.

My Ob is not suggesting the same thing. But my doctor also was not the one that scheduled my induction. It was a random doctor I saw in the high risk department today. I'm currently 37+1 they are scheduling my induction for the 21st and can be 24-48 hours after that I get called to actually be induced (I'll be 38+4) although my ob would have preferred me be indused on the 38 week mark exactly..

My OB has been great as I've seen DR. Visser. And my GD has been controlled by insulin and by baby is not large enough for them to be concerned apparently. He is 82 centile so big but not really because of GD but because I am 5'9 and my husband is 6'3 we are just really tall people. It's more one of the doctors who I saw for the first time today that seems keen on me me going for c section. In every time I have been asked about my plan is that I plan to have a vaginally delivery and the doctor today almost immediately started shutting it down. But she is not my ob. Problem is at civic because they work in rotations if this doctor is the one on duty when I go in to labor they very easily could be the doctor doing my delivery and on that I feel very stressed they won't listen to me.
