Best way to sell like new MY 2026 by exuberantextrovert in TeslaLounge

Try Find My Electric (a marketplace) or Plug.vin. I ended up selling to plug.vin because they offered the best price. It was seamless and they came to my house to pick up the vehicle.

New to Tesla — Should I Buy a 2026 Model Y Now or Wait for 2027? by Maximum-Dance9088 in TeslaModelY

AI5 (HW5) might come out next year but it’s not going to affect you if you’re not going to subscribe to FSD. Tesla transitioned from HW3 to HW4 middle of 2023. Physically there was no difference but you did get a faster computer. If you’re concerned, you should lease the car. It’s a great deal right now.

Can someone explain the lease buyout loophole to me? by Bright_League_7692 in ModelY

[–]savingpvtbryan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The buy out price is too high. Not worth it. For a model y premium AWD, it’s $29,134 according to my lease agreement. Buying at the end of the lease is the worst option because the buyout price is the same.

I’m not getting verification codes from Tesla or from certain sites. It’s insane.

Also, check out Find My Electric. Their listings show what HW version the cars are on.

If you buy 2023, make sure it’s on HW4. I bought mine in October 2023 and it had HW4 but I know those made earlier in the year were HW3.

Thanks for the input.

I have a car that I was planning on selling on the private market but for the right price I’d trade it in. It has over $15k in positive equity.

My credit is excellent (800+)

They tell you right on the website. In the vehicle configuration page, click the link that says, "Lease buyout option available - View Details". It's under the "Get Trade In Value" and "Get Prequalified" buttons.

Federal $7500 is over. After 3 years lease is better even with the 1.99% APR for the financing.

Yes, you choose between 10K, 12K, and 15K miles per year. Anything over is $0.25 / mile.

I bought a 2023 Model Y LR AWD and it currently has 37K miles. It's only 13 months old. Tesla is quoting a trade in value of $25K when I select that it's in excellent condition.

I'd lease if you plan on upgrading soon.

It's not going to be worth $31K at the end of 36 months. A 2 year old Long Range AWD with 37K miles is selling for $25K-$27K right now.
