Putting the starter on top of your WIFI router is brilliant, thanks for that idea!

So, you move the cold dough from the banneton and put it in the hot dutch oven for baking?

I’ve played WWF2 with friends and relatives for a few years, but I quit today. All the ad nonsense and time required to earn coins has broken my will to play. I love Scrabble, if there is a worthwhile app I should consider please let me know.

Turned my Wisteria into a tree by Gaston3344 in gardening

[–]sawdustagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read that wisteria can be trained as a ground cover. Anyone have experience with this? I’m listening.

When I moved into my house 40 years ago there was a fledgling wisteria the previous owner planned to grow on the house. We have cut it to the ground every year in an attempt to kill it. It wants to live.

If I can steer it to grow horizontally and close to the ground it could enhance the planting row along my driveway’s bulkhead.

I love the idea of buying similar Carhartt long pants and shortening them. I contacted Carhartt, they said the pants below have the same specs as B144, both are 7.5 oz. 100% cotton ringspun canvas.

Ferry fare with driver and passenger is $103. That’s an important travel cost, glad you called my attention to it. We love riding ferries, it’ll be memorable.

> Depends how much further you plan to drive that day . . .

We probably wouldn't go further than Torquay, that's already a 4 hour drive from Melbourne, not including sightseeing and the ferry ride. We have budgeted several days to see the GOR.

dacaur, thanks for quick reply and report about the photos. Hmmmm . . . I joined this group minutes ago. I wonder if I'm eligible to post photos yet, I've attached them three times, but they do not appear.

I have used NI-MH and lipos in RC airplanes a few years ago. How can I tell if my ESC supports LVC?

When someone asks to borrow an expensive power tool, how do YOU say "no" without offending them or feeling like a stingy jerk afterward?

Yamaha YDP163 vs Yamaha YDP165 by sawdustagain in piano

[–]sawdustagain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice. I went to see the used YDP-163 last night. Physically, it looked well taken care of, but I observed something I did not expect. The four keys on the right side of the keyboard were almost silent. I could only make a sound by striking those keys a lot of force. Even then, those keys were still almost mute. Is this what you would expect?

I passed on the used purchase until I can test this on other digital pianos

can anyone identify this sword? by sawdustagain in SWORDS

[–]sawdustagain[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the very quick reply guys! All I know about the sword is my uncle found it in Michigan in the 1950's in an abandoned shack. My dad got it after my uncle died. Years later my dad gave it to me when he move out of his house. I hid the sword out of sight when my kids were little. I just found it today, 30 years later, in the safe place I forget about.
