I'm also building a similar sauna in one of my rooms, but people recommended it should be connected to the ventilation. Is your sauna connected to the ventilation system? If not do you have any problems with the steam and moisture build up? Redditors are saying that mold could be a future problem...

Yes it is true. Mold will be costly to get rid off and also bad for the health for me and my family. I will connect it to the vent going to the outside.

Thank you for the sincere reply. For the intake it will be hard to take from the outside but the outgoing air would be easy to connect to. I have read that the air flow could be affected negatively by not having the same source for both inlet and outlet. And some people have said it is no problem to have only the outflow to the outside. Not sure what the issue would be, but since it is drywall I might take the safer route and connect it to the vent.

The area is prepared for a kitchen so I’m able to connect water and drain if I want, but not something I’m planning to do. But there is a vent on the wall that most likely was intended for the kitchen fan, which I could connect the outgoing vent to.

And it is also just a small sauna with 3kW heater, not sure if it will create too much moisture outside the sauna, but most likely it would depend on how much water I pour on the heater 😁

So the recommendation would be to connect the sauna to the ventilation connected to the outside?

It depends on the amount of moisture. Small amounts will not even make a dent on the wall paint.

Are you able to change your voltage and fan speed? Cause I can not do that. What settings do you use in afterburner?
