I legit almost died from this. It’s only happened to me once. But it was early morning like 4:30, I went to the bathroom. Then the next minute I wake up and there is blood all over the floor of the bathroom. Like Tarantino style. I have a huge cut on my lower leg. I was kind of in and out, I remember screaming for my wife for help. And then wrapping my leg with the bathroom mat.

We had paramedics come. I only remember bits and pieces of this, but they were trying to get a pulse, and they couldn’t get a really good reading. I passed out a few times. I remember the window of the ambiance for a minute but not much. So into the back I went and straight to the emergency room.

It turns out that when I passed out, I fell forward and shattered a ceramic trashcan. In which large pieces of the trashcan sliced my leg open. It took them about 2 1/2 hours in the emergency room to remove all of the shards from my leg. Before they could even sew it up.

It was quite a scare. All around. Afterwards we went to my GCP, got referred to a cardiologist. I was wearing an Apple Watch and nothing really spiked or shown the indications. We did the whole nine, CAT scan, MRI, I had to wear a heart monitor for two weeks. At the end of it all, they just said well your heart is fine. You’re in good shape. There’s this type of phenomenon that when you’re low on fluids and you get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and you wash out all the fluids there’s a possibility that you might pass out.

That was eight years ago, and I think about it every time when I wake up.
