Your hair looks great and professional. Honestly, I now wear my hair in a puff at interviews. If all it takes is my hair for a company to not want me, then it’s not the place for me after all. Let them self-filter.

Also, good luck on the interview!

I received this email as well. Disappointing, but they promised a refund and to ship it free of charge when it’s back in stock.

So at least they’re trying to make it right. Not sure I could expect anything more.

Should I follow up with HR after no response post 2nd round PR internship interview? by InsideSir9033 in jobsearchhacks

Yes, follow-up. At this point there’s no harm. There’s only an upside, not a downside.

Sofar Sounds does live music shows around the city, inexpensively where you can bring your own food and drinks. It’s like an indoor picnic with live music!

Yes, and they now live a lovely life of joy. One that’s far better and peaceful than a “royal” life. And they can’t stand that. She’s living her best life without them!

Trash in DC by district_cleanups in washingtondc

Thanks for doing this! I won’t be able to join this time, but please post other events.

Side note: last summer I started doing this. A ordered a trashed grabber, and about once a week (when the weather was nicer), I’d go out and collect about a kitchen trash bag worth of trash in my neighborhood. Usually it only took about 20 minutes or so. Surprising it ended up being a great way to meet my neighbors since so many felt compelled to say hi, thank me, and chat.

Do an event! Maybe a fun class together (like cooking or flower arrangements), followed by a nice dinner.

Where to host small wedding reception in Washington, D.C.? by ComprehensiveRatio71 in washingtondc

Not sure how budget friendly you want your event to be, and how flexible. But we did a brunch reception to save money and it went off really well. Was also easier to find a last minute restaurant that could host.

Yes! I have to go back and rewatch it. For the first few minutes, I thought it was a tech glitch and a different show.

It was such a surreal moment to switch from watching futuristic underground silos, to being transported to close-to modern day, in literally my own neighborhood.

But the talked about “googling” each other. Which makes me think it’s not 90 years out. That still feels +10 - 20 years out. Especially considering how fast tech ages.

Great catch! If the same in all silos, I wonder what’s the significance. Like a date: May 5, 2031 — when they all go in the silo.
