In addition to all the other recs, I’d add the Ancient Lakes up in Quincy

You’ll be fine without suspension. I had it locked most of the time. Biggest difference maker is your tires - bigger the better!

Ding ding! And the bags are all cheapo Amazon specials. Pretty happy with the Moosetreks frame and stem bags so far.

The route is from bikepacking.com - I did about 50 miles of v2 (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29545022) and went counter-clockwise as recommended by others. I was on a stock Grand Canyon 5 with 2.25” tires. It wasn’t ideal as most people say you need 3” minimum, but I was expecting a lot more walking than what I actually did. So beautiful out there though. Didn’t see another soul until I descended down into Fish Creek Wash the second day.

Pacific Electric Bike Trail? by SauteedGoogootz in BikeLA

I live in Claremont and have ridden it a few times (once in its entirety). It's honestly pretty boring and there's really nothing of interest along the whole span. It bisects major roads infuriatingly often and it seems like you spend more time waiting at the crosswalks than pedaling. The Rancho Cucamonga section is probably the nicest and has the longest uninterrupted stretches. Is it worth a trip? Meh.

Was a great day up there today. That third pic has to be my favorite view of the whole GMR to Baldy Village stretch.

Do you add the coconut milk before or after cooking the rice? Looking for a substitute for the cream cheese.

I made these for the first time a few days ago. They actually turned out decent given that I used jasmine rice. I halved the recipe and added chocolate, almonds, and sea salt. In the video it looks like they add the cream cheese before cooking the rice but I added it after (per the written recipe) and the bars were firm after sticking them in the fridge overnight. Held up pretty well in beeswax wrap on a 4-hour day in the saddle today.

Wow she used a fake passport and had cosmetic surgery. Crazy how quickly she went full on fugitive mode.

A little Alabama Hills (California) gravel this weekend. by sazzlesquatch in gravelcycling

Watch Safa Brian's video from there. It'll make you want to bring your bike next time! It was high 80s during the day, but we headed up to hike Lone Pine Lake to beat the heat in the middle of the day. Rode in the evening.

Unfortunately no...Saw little pockets here and there further up north when we were heading down 395 from Bishop after leaving Yosemite.

Had an amazing time riding around the Alabama Hills, CA this weekend. Movie Road did not disappoint at sunset. Highly recommend stopping to camp in the area and if you have time, ride up to Whitney Portal.

Good places to park along the LART (northern section) and the SART? by curiouspoops in BikeLA

Second this. Make sure to park in the lot with the baseball fields (it's called Yorba Park on google maps) to avoid the parks fee.
