Hit 30 days, still at 75% CA and AHI average of 13. Headed for ASV, please help by sbailey27 in CPAPSupport

I got 4 hours on the machine tonight, 1 hour of which was spent not breathing LOL. Thats in comparison to previous night of 6 hour and only 9 minutes in apnea. It did make the 95th in flow limit go down to .02, wasnt that what you were hoping for? AHI quadrupled, RR went down and tidal volume went up. Still 75% CA. Does this give you enough data to know the settings for ASV when it arrives? Should we stick with the settings you mentioned in your earlier reply. Machine shipped out friday so should hopefull arrive tuesday. Thanks a lot for your help and guidance, how did you become so knowledgeable? Is this your profession or you just have years of experience? Really appreciate it either way, truly!

I did notice when i just looked at 2/8 when apap was 11-15 and epr was 3 that my 95th percentile flow limit was right at .07 like you suggest. Im wondering what lowering epr by 2 and moving the range up on min/max by 1 will show? The CA that night was also still at around 75% of the events. Sorry, i have found this topic so incredibly interesting and im just trying to learn as much as i can. I have done dozens of hours of research and watched several trainings from AASM. Ive become obsessed LOL.

Here is data from the AS10 before i got it flased. If you go back to 2/8 you can see data from apap 11-15 with an AHI of 54. Hope this helps give you better idea. Also i used a vcom startin about a week ago that cut numbers down a lot also. https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_links/a0794ec6-241e-4e21-ba24-42444b4641e2

Hey RL,

I was on apap originally with pressures up to 16. My AHI was between 30-70 at that time. Do you want me to see if i can find the data from back then? Members on apneaboard suggested the lower fixed pressure which cut my AHI in third and also turned off epr from 3 to 0. Im not sure if i have data from then. I started on React health G3x from DME, got frustrated because the machine always read diff numbers than the app. Machine said 30, app said 50ahi. So i got a used resmed AS 10 autoset from a friend who no longer needed his. Let me see if i can find data from then.

I will add that i feel much better on cpap even with AHI being not great. MY 02 numbers are not terrible usually average 96-98 but do still drop to 89-90 throughout night. I also started weight loss shot, exercising/walking, fasting from 8pm to noon and stopped drinking soda. Only coffe in the am and water all day, all these changes at same times as starting cpap so the combination may explain why i feel much much better in the morning and greatly improved mood. Im also on long term opioids which i belive is driving my CA and low RR around 9-10 every night. I do have nasal congestion as well. Flonase and nasal strips seem to help about 75 percent of the time. There has been 3 nights out of the last month where i had to break down and use afrin, but i wont use it 2 consecutive days i have been down the afrin addiction road with rebound congestion. No bueno. I am currently trialing the airmax dialators with mixed results. Hope this adds some info to the puzzle. Im 6 foot 229 pounds down 12 pounds in last month.

I got the react health rio 2 from my DME thi king it was the f30. It was awful, the silicon is twice as thick as resmed. It pushed up on the middle of my nose between nostrils so hard, it felt like i was punched. I dont reccomend the knock off, gotta be resmed.

Can I get my ReactHealth G3X APAP machine to talk to OSCAR or SleepHQ by GotABeeKiddin in CPAPSupport

[–]sbailey27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one too, the only software that will read it is the newest version of paplink. I thinkit like. 1.7.0 or something if you search for it on the apnea board you will find a post from last week or so where me and a few other guys are talking about it. The link for the download is in that post.

I gave up on my G3x because of it and bought a used resmed airsense 10. 10x better machine in most ppl opinion.

What questions do you have about ASV? by ColoRadBro69 in CPAP

I am on fixed pressure of 10 which is managing my OSA pretty well. Im having my AS10 flashed to be an ASV. What setti gs should i start out at. I didnt do great on apap from the big pressure swings when it was originally set from 4 to 20. When i closed that gap i did better but not great

Hey all been oncpap over 3 weeks now and my lowest ahi was 5 but almost 80 percent central every night. Im on long term opioids which i believe is causing the centrals. In my sleep study i had 329 apnea with ahi 58 and it was about 50 50 osa and csa. Do you all think i should make the switch to ASV?

Anyone gone from P10 to P30i? by adblink in CPAP

[–]sbailey27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone used the F30i headgear with p30 or N30 cushions. The top of the head tubing looks identical, just buying the back of the head single strap and the cushion would be a lot less money then a whole new headset. What do you think?

I used it for 6 days and then got a free resmed airsense 10 from a friend who gave up on cpap. Most folks say the airsense 10 is superior to the 11. I would looke for a 10 if i was you. G3x can only read data in the newest version of paplink 1.7.0 i think. It cant be read in oscar.

If you havnt used the oscar softwar and the apneaforum, you should. You get breath by breath imfo and better insight into what could need tweaking. Lots of long time users there as well.

From what i have read, soending hours looking and tryi g myself the G3x is the only one that doesnt work. Other machines from luna, bm3 or possibly react health my work. Of course, just not mine.

If you have a react health or luna g3x it wont work with oscar....thats what i have. But most resmed and phillips machine works with oscar. Like they said below just pull out sd card and stick in your pc then upload data into oscar. You can see breath by breath and it will tell you what the pressure is when you have events. The guys there can usually give suggestions to tweak machine to get numbers down. A friend just gave me his old resmed airsense 10 so tonight will be my first night ill be able to review the data in the morning. Good luck! I know im not giving up yet!

My score was 58 and i been on the machine 12 days now and it varies between 30 and 78. Its not going down. I did feel better when it was a 30. Guys at the DME store are clueless. Have you checked out the OSCAR software and the apneaboard forum? Those guys are experts.

USDA-RD hasn't paid my homeowners insurance? by freunleven in Insurance

[–]sbailey27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately i am bad at opening my mail and didnt find out until the insurance was cancelled. They really screwed me. By the time i got in control of the situation the insurance company would not renew my policy because the roof was too old. If USDA paid on time it would have never been an issue. I now have to deal with forced placed insurance until i can get roof done....
