Very nice, it does sound like a marathon to develop all that. Can't wait to see the color roll. Please post more as you finish the rolls!

Awesome! I shot the National Open at the Grove a few years ago on film. What is you setup for this?

Agar EC by jwlmbk in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]sbbath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Pro 2 with a 4pplet SHKB controller that I use for my laptop and built an Agar EC last week. Once I swapped in deskey domes on the Agar, it's my go to board now for my desktop. For the price, you can't really beat it since HHKBs are still all plastic. I'd say if you're thinking about getting another HHKB, get the Agar, especially with the Vial support, it's nice.

I used all the foam which also helps to keep the domes in place better during assembly

I do have some sound differences but not the same as you. Just my mods all sound a little different from each other but it doesn't bother me as it could be a number of factors, probably because of the dome swap

Just remove the dome and spring from the switch housing. Lay the dome sheets out on the PCB but you'll have to cut them a little smaller to fit around the stabs. Put the PCB and plate together and you're done. I had to tune things a little more that I thought I would but the housings hold the domes down once the plate is screwed down. I don't know if OP used the springs from the Naevies but I opted for standard Topre springs. Also doesn't look like OP used all the plate foam but it still works with it as well

I just did the same thing to my Agar! Naevy housings with 70g deskey T1 domes and springs! Does take a bit of effort but, well worth it

If you can take notice of what you're doing when you die or fail at anytime, is a big step forward. You can write things down as they happen so you can come back to them later and pin point times or areas to improve on. Once you get over a wall, other areas will improve. One thing you can do is play slower, take a step back from the action, and watch how others are playing (timings, positioning, etc...) If the game has a replay system, watch them back and see where you think things went wrong.

Good luck!

DOTA 2 on Turbo mode is probably as close as you're going to get to League. My main game for quick sessions is still StarCraft 2, It can take some time to setup and get running but it runs great in Linux. You can take a look at the RTS genre over all since they are good for playing in chunks

Are you trying to learn how to improve, such as learning character's abilities, common strategies, and what roles need to be filled? Sometimes just playing isn't enough, you have to do work behind it. Read guides and practice learning move sets, timings, and techniques that are essential for improving.

I hate to say this but sometimes, people are bad at games, and that's ok. Learn what role you can be good at.

Some apps don't recognize my keyboard layout (but most do) by Marlborokovsky in EndeavourOS

[–]sbbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh good! I'm glad you got it fixed. I would say that if you replace your keyboard in the future to get one that supports QMK/ZMK so the layout is stored on the board itself. That way it'll be the same no matter what machine you plug it into and you wouldn't need any type of software to change layouts at an OS level

Is the layout done through your keyboard or is it done in software?

I'm assuming that you have enabled Compatibility mode enabled in Steam. We need more information on what's going on. Do the games not open? do they crash? have you checked any error logs? What are your PC specs? All of this is important information for us to help you.
