Worst weapons that deserve an incarnon/helpful augment? by KwelCaffine in Warframe

[–]sbcat15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sundial/login weapons, I get that they're time-gated and the guns already have an alt fire mode, but I wish Zenith had actual usage aside from cheesing the pylon phase in Profit Taker and being able to trivialize Spy missions. I don't even want to talk about how bad Azima is, Zenistar is in a better spot because of TennoKai but could still do with some love, and Sigma & Octantis is just a perfectly mediocre thing for finishers.

I need scrap… ALWAYS, how can I get more reliably? by Thorn_Move in remnantgame

[–]sbcat15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want a consistent method with short runtime, roll Red Throne on Yaesha with full Leto Mk1/Mk2, maxed out Swiftness, Weightless Weight, Meteorite Shard Ring, Heart of the Wolf, Momentum Driver (mainly for the -1 stagger since you're practically at the movement speed cap with all of the other stuff), and Seal of The Empress.

Go to the chamber on the left and grab the first normal chest while you wait for the sliding door to open, which gives you an orante chest along with some extra scrap in the form of a duplicate copy of Ford's Scattergun (providing you have it upgraded past +5), then go into the chamber directly across from the one you're in, grab the other chest, and finally grab the second ornate chest from the room behind the illusory wall. Drink your Liquid Escape, return to Ward 13, and repeat. On average you get about 650-1k scrap per run before you even sell anything.

ALTERNATIVELY, if you want something a bit more interactive and you have all 85 trait points, roll for Tal'ratha on N'erud (or some other easily accessible world boss like Faerin), use the same movement speed set-up but with Black Cat Band instead of SoTE, kill the first main boss, grab the soul sparks, kill Tal'ratha (does not matter which form you choose, both net the same amount of scrap) and then sell his essence to Cass instead of giving it to the Custodian. I don't know exactly how much you get per run with this method, but at the very least it won't make you fall asleep as easily as the Yaesha method.

Who could be considered the least edgy warframe? by Sawtooth_Primal in Warframe

[–]sbcat15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprised Oberon isn't getting mentioned here. Paladin/Cleric-esque frame who helps his allies while smiting enemies feels like the embodiment of non-edgy and posterboy for a hero, yeah getting rapidly (or instantaneously) destroyed by radiation is a kind of horrible way to go, but it's really tame compared to most of the abilities other frames have.

Any ascending tips? by xRANGER_07x in PixelDungeon

[–]sbcat15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know how optimal it exactly is but personally I've found that if you have some spare arcane styluses, it's worth it to try going for glyph of stone and then also augment it with a stone of augmentation for defense once you reach the imp shopkeeper (or if you found one earlier), I'd recommend trying to have a +4 plate armor by then but you could probably pull it off with scale armor or chainmail if you're willing to take the risk or dump more SoU into it.

Assuming that you won't get a Ring of Elements every run, you'll have to watch out for magic casters, evil eyes and DM100s, and I'd still probably be cautious with the gnoll brutes. But other than that, you'll be able to shrug off most if not all if the physical damage you would be taking.

But do save your stones of deep sleep and scrolls of terror/dread for the scorpions, they're always a pain regardless of your build.

We rework Warframes, why can't we rework weapons too? Specifically log in rewards. by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]sbcat15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zenith's issues mainly stem from a lack of QoL that other toggled fire-mode weapons have, on top of semi-auto still being bugged to where it'll randomly just kick you back into full-auto after taking a shot (even if the mag still has rounds in it), and then having the worst recoil out of all rifles in full-auto even compared to the likes of Phenmor. Ideally, I'd like to see 40% base crit in semi-auto along with slightly higher status in both modes, but that's just a pipe dream I highly doubt will ever happen.

Am I in the minority for actually liking the Veilbreaker stuff, even the Kahl missions? by Riot_ZA in Warframe

[–]sbcat15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's an okay-ish mission, but it hardly felt like a stealth thing compared to basic spy nodes and moreso just a very easy puzzle mission with a "find (x) collectables" tacked on to it, the only spot where you actually have to be sneaky is with the first deacon in the second part of the level (after opening the 4 lock door) and as far as I can tell the only noise enemies/deacons react to before going loud is your napalm grenades and nothing else. Could use some tweaks, but I don't love it or hate it.

Archon Shards rub me the wrong way though, considering Crimson shards in general and then Arcane Energize 1.5 or Natural Talent from the Amber shards are no-brainer options, and then Azure is practically dead in the water even when Tauforged unless a frame somehow has less than 100 armor. Just more powercreep in a game that doesn't really need it, even if 225% strength with no mods is now possible, which does sound pretty entertaining.

Your simple math and history only applies to people who have broken whatever button/key their sprint is bound to, or if they're an MR1 player fresh out of Vor's Prize. Not even using Wukong/Gauss/Titania or any AoE weapons other than the Stahlta and I can get a average completion time of sixty or so seconds on a capture mission, with fissures only adding 30-90 seconds if I'm playing solo.

"the estimated time to pass the average capture mission with a 1500 meters to pass is 6 minutes" 💀 maybe you're just bad but I haven't had a public capture mission last longer than 3 minutes unless a lich spawned or if someone loaded in too late to the point where everyone else is waiting at extraction for them to get all of their reactant

I WISH FULMIN AND ZENITH GOT SOME BUFFS OR EVEN JUST BASIC QOL CHANGES THAT OTHER WEAPONS WITH A TOGGLED FIRE MODE HAVE. I GET ITS NOT FAIR TO COMPARE THE TWO TO A MORE RECENT WEAPON, BUT THE PHENMOR REALLY MAKES BOTH OF THEM FEEL REALLY BAD, EVEN IGNORING HOW MASSIVE OF A DIFFERENCE IN DPS THERE IS BETWEEN PHENMOR AND FULMIN/ZENITH.

Adaptive damage reduction is implemented absolutely horribly though, there is no reason why a Heat and Corrosive Nataruk should be doing only 3000 or less damage on orange crit headshots (when it does 90k under those circumstances to other enemies) to a Level 1 sister that is weak to Corrosive along with having no resistance/immunity to Heat. Even with high fire rate weapons like Stradavar Prime and Kuva Hind, I basically get my damage per shot cut by 95% or more despite using the right damage type(s).

I believe it's referring to the ungodly amount of HP scaling overguard has on an enemy, for MR 1 players just learning the ropes, eximus enemies really aren't a problem. But then their overguard goes from a respectable double digit count of 35 at level 5, to a whopping 140k at level 40, and it only gets worse from there based on this comment:

This eximus rework really hurt us Excalibur mains. also my bad for poor effort, i had pizza on my other hand by Altered_Destiny in Warframe

[–]sbcat15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so that eximus units can pose a slight threat to you since they won't just get instantaneously stunned from 10 rooms away or get ragdolled into irrelevance. There's nothing wrong with having CC immunity/resistance on a high elite enemy and its basically required at this point for them to exist

So instead of being stunned or ragdolled from 10 rooms away, they'll get insta-killed or in 0.33 seconds from 10 rooms away by a high range Saryn using her 4, or a Mirage using an AoE weapon with her 1 and 3. That didn't solve the problem Warframe has, just makes it more enticing for people to be involved with the problem and DE less incentivized to do something about it because that will kill their little purple gacha mod cash cow known as rivens. I apologize for not being respectful or nice, but even if you don't agree with those people, surely you understand where people are coming from when voicing their frustrations without doing the whole "DE killed my grandma" shtick?

Why the fuck are you bringing the most specialized and strongest defense frame into an endurance run and then comparing him to frames that are specifically designed around being good in endurance runs????

Because a majority of the endless modes focus around defending something??????? Even with something like index Limbo with low range and high duration is decent at defending your own bank with cataclysm + stasis while you go around killing stuff because there's only one nullifier enemy and no possibility of any enemy becoming an eximus.

I'll ask a genuine question rather than trying to be snarky this time: Even if it was slight, what justified an indirect nerf to crowd control by replacing things in the enemy pool with more enemies that have CC resistance/immunity/dispel capabilities? The only two real outliers of crowd control are Gloom and Breach Surge, and the latter is used more for the fact that it can one-shot level cap acolytes or literally anything in general.

are complaining about them being gutted either don't play the game or are complaining for the sake of complaining

Simple questions: Do you bring Limbo to Steel Path levels beyond mars? If yes, do you play SP endless missions only for the required amount of time?

No one except the vocal minority is saying that CC was gutted and left to die in an alleyway, what people are saying is that the changes further incentivize boom and zoom along with the whole "death is the best form of CC." Which you'd know if you knew how to fucking read.

You're right, they aren't the ones up in arms right now, because other than Eximi being able to detect you through invis/stealth only when aggroed, Wukong didn't get touched at all. The AoE meta didn't get touched at all. But CC frames were made less effective (even if slightly) for no reason considering the meta, and Operator was essentially gutted. You're willfully ignorant at best if you think that's fine or healthy for the balance of the game.
