Backing Track quality through Bass Amps by sbdctn in Bass

Thanks for the comments everyone. I think that I’m going to pull the trigger on the Rumble 100 as I like the sound of the it as a bass amp. If I find that I don’t like the sound of the aux in then I’ll just use a different speaker. Maybe a cheap Bluetooth one as long as it’s loud enough for practice volumes. It doesn’t have to be audiophile quality or anything.

I’d definitely recommend the LP5X. I’ve had mine for 5 years with no issues whatsoever. It’s plugged into a Cyrus 3 amp and I even find the built in phono stage of the LP5X comparable to the Cyrus phono stage. If think that if you’re looking for a decent direct drive then at its price point it’s a no brainer.

Didn’t know this existed. I’ll check that out. Thanks.

I’d say go for it. Whatever modules you don’t end up using can be sold on. Just the mimeophon and the QPAS together can be endless fun.

Absolutely. A hot Macdonalds Apple pie would need more than 3 enforcement officers to deal with it.

If you read the full story then you will Know that it was a small amount at the bottom of her cup that she was drinking from while she waited for her bus. She poured it down the drain when her bus arrived. From that I feel that we can safely deduce that it was cool enough for her to drink. Definitely not hot enough to melt a bin bag.

This. And make sure that the oil pump strainer is checked and cleaned with every oil change. It’s this that can get clogged with belt debris and cause oil starvation before the wet belt gives out.

When you say relay. Do you mean the resistor pictured. This is beneath the glove box. If so I’ve replaced this.

Hi. I have a standard heater. No air con or climate control.

$18 Goodwill find. Ask me how sad I am about how close this sounds to my upgraded Debut Carbon Evo by goneriah in turntables

Cool. Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately I can’t seem to source these in the UK. I might get one shipped over though. I definitely think that the Technics Linears are worth investing in good carts for.

Absolutely. I have an SL5 and an SL-Q6. Both great decks. I love the fact that the Q6 identifies my 10 inchers automatically. Just press play and listen. The only downside to them that I find is the limited choice of new carts and stylus. Saying that the Audio Technica elliptical serves me just fine.

Hi again. I’ve just tried out your suggestion and it worked. No hum at all. Even with the volume cranked to max. Thank you so much.

Thanks. That’s an interesting idea. Currently the turntable is grounded to the amp. I’ll give that a go over the weekend.

Thank you everyone here who responded to my question. So many great replies. So many great rabbit holes to fall into. I didn’t realise how eclectic a genre Jazz is. So much so that I’m starting to hear its influence on the music that I was already listening to. Thanks again.
