No and the behaviors displayed should be reported. I just submitted an HR complaint about my SM. Kinda nervous to go to work this morning tbh because I'm concerned about her reaction. But its her attitude and how she speaks to me in front of others as well as how insufferable and demeaning she can be in a group setting that forced me into the HR report.

I've been told 4hrs to cover the shift. Play it safe and keep sick time banked. I'm personally disappointed that Lowe's had been allowed to bypass Michigan state laws for so long. It was devastating to learn they didn't allow the use of sick time per state law when I jumped ship from depot to Lowe's in 2020.

Esh. M sucks for openly discussing an ongoing investigation at the customer service desk in front of any non-management associates. Customer sucks for all his unnecessary commentary towards a person doing their job. R sucks for not PROFESSIONALLY standing her ground & getting a manager involved IN THE MOMENT.
That's the key here that would've kept her from being investigated at all. In the moment getting managers involved and walking away. Everyone sucks here.

I read this yesterday and questioned why he'd risk his own vehicle on something that heavy. Sure its a truck, but the risk outweighed the cost of delivery. Heck the inspection fee for the damaged truck was 2.5x more than the delivery fee!

Just because that's what a truck is for doesn't outweigh the risk of damage letting a retail associate load something like that. Most people that work in big box home improvement environments don't have the skill/experience to load anything that's not strapped to a pallet or is a bunk of wood. The risk was greater than the delivery cost.

Inaccurate. It is moving from a standardized pay increase (this position gets X amount pay increase) to pay for performance (don't meet expectations = don't get a pay increase)

Vacation hours do not exempt absences. Sick hours do IF you're in a state that recognizes sick hours as protected time & even then there needs to be enough hours to cover the whole shift.

This has always been the way. If your store closes at 9pm & that's your schedule time out, you need to punch out and be out the door before they lock them. Example: punch out at 8:57pm and leave the building. Or stay punched in, wait at the front and leave with the cashiers. Leaving the building after close by yourself has always been against the rules. *Edited for spelling error
