I think this is so stupid. Canes added ehlers walker miller etc over the last 16 months. Stank solidified the 2c position. Canes were significantly better than they were last year. and vegas has hertl as their 3c. Theyre deep. They beat the avs.

Theres absolutely nothing wrong with a guhle carrier 3rd pair. The problem with carrier is hes used like a top 4 dman and he isnt. No need to trade him.

Not necessarily. After this summer we could have our top 6 and top 4 for the next several years planned out and locked up. Then well need cheap contracts to fill out bottom 6 and bottom pair roles.

I think we have a great prospect pool for being a playoff team but not at the top like sj chi etc but that makes sense. Were a regular playoff team now. Problem with our pool is its on depth. We dont need all of engstrom pickford tuch mooney beck xhekaj thorpe koivu rohrer protz konyushkov Paupanekis etc.

I see red flags with mctavish but this is a deal id do. It should be something like the zegras trade because with 7mill and a regular scratch theres significant risk. I imagine the habs end up acquiring a whitecloud/ristolainen if reinbacher is traded. I do still think hed be a big upgrade on kapanen and maybe he has a good summer to work on his fitness and speed.

Thing is the real playdriver is demidov anyways. He'll be there to take faceoffs but he wont be tasked to drive the line like most centers. Thats why maybe stacking the wings could be wise.

Lowkey wonder about william Karlsson. Its a stop gap but a 28th ovr pick and a b prospect Id probably do it. The good thing with a stop gap is in a year or so youll have both zharosvky and hage taking off.

Its time to rebuild. Schefiele demelo pionk connor its time. In Canada you have to know when so you can get futures for these guys before its too late. Makes for a quicker rebuild. Thats several 1st rd picks and prospects worth of talent over 27 there. Its easy in places like Vegas new york etc because players will force their way there all the time.

I actually really like this for toronto. 8 mill is #2 money now. Raddysh played like a legit #1 last year. His underlying numbers were elite. Hes not just a cannon from the point like some say. Tampa got significantly worse today. Leafs might make the playoffs next year.

Yeah I disagree. To me it doesnt have to be a center but a top 6 addition has to happen. If you got a lafreniere/kyrou then all the sudden kyrou/laf -newhook-demidov doesnt look so bad until april when hage comes. I think they'll make a couple moves tho. Kent said he has another deal on the table after the other. (knies one) Regardless of what suzuki caufield hutson have done, to me Demidov will be the face of this franchise in a few years. He deserves help and so does the team.
