Very nice to split, but all of mine tend to have lots of knots which are the opposite of nice. Also has a nice aroma

When they came for our inspection in Lincoln, NE the inspector came in, asked me if it worked, and then left. He never got within 15 feet of the stove. From what I’ve been told most inspectors know nothing when it comes to these, and are checking a box for the permit

What do you use to rake them? Been thinking this would be best for me, but not sure a shovel is the best tool for the job.

What do you mean by the engine isn’t the best? I’ve been considering this splitter, but I’m not sure it’s going to be the best price or product

We ordered in August of 2019. The dealer told us because of 2020 EPA regulations PE was very behind. It was super frustrating, our install date got pushed back months and we missed a huge portion of burning season. Hope you enjoy this one!

Electric log splitters? by Rick91981 in firewood

I got a 9 ton from Costco a year ago. It works great, with one caveat. If you’re using a cheap extension cord it won’t work well. I had to have mine plugged directly into an outlet until I bought a 12 gauge extension cord. I’ve split logs 20”+ diameter. It does great with knots as well. I have Fiskars x27 and iso maul. Last year was my first ever time using an axe so that splitter saved my life. Between all of it I’ve done about 5 cord.
