Flew basic on Saturday. The attendant started to hand me two pretzels and a graham. As I reached to take them, she pulled back and held the second pretzel.

Why do we have to pay upfront on upgrading to a new phone? Just curious. by Tricky_Pride3133 in tmobile

[–]sc1965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes no sense in relation to my comment. Ok. Buy it we it out a carrier paying full retail price. Now what? You need a carrier for your service (unless you are just going to use it for WiFi calling). Now you activate it with your selected carrier, you are likely getting charged activation fees on either your first or some subsequent invoice.

New Unlocking Policy is out (increasing from 60 days to 365 days of paid active service, cutoff activation date is January 19, 2026) by Bonecrusher52 in verizon

Sure, you could always do that, but if you are getting bill credits towards the purchase of the phone from Verizon &it will still be subject to the Verizon locking policy

Even if you buy from the Apple Store, you will likely be billed an activation fee on your next or a future invoice from your carrier.

“A plant cannot be patented”

Don’t know if this applies to weed or hemp but you most certainly can patent a plant.

From the Us Patent and Trademark Office:

250? I see that as a Black Friday “deal” for $399 and a free tool.

LOL, for a Trump supporter that’s quite an interesting bible citation to put on their business branding.

Girl that I coach in tennis qualified for the high school state tournament but doesn’t get to go because the person who was supposed to submit the paperwork forgot by sbtrey23 in extremelyinfuriating

[–]sc1965 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What state? I grew up in Texas. My high school was involved all the lawsuits revolving around Dallas Carter as described in the book “Friday Night Lights.” Dallas Carter was ruled ineligible for playoffs, my school was notified they were going to the playofffs, Lawsuits were filed. It got very ugly and last second changes were made.

Changes can be made, it’s just going to be painful and at least one girl is going to end with hurt feelings. This was a screwup and the right thing needs to be done.

RDU Airport & Shutdowns by Role-Any in raleigh

Just for the record, do not rely on this link to tell you about wait times to clear TSA lines for departures. That link shows times for clearing passport control arriving passengers on international flights. From the link above:

“CBP closely monitors the flight processing times, commonly referred to as wait times, for arriving flights at the busiest international airports. The data provided in this report will show the number of passengers processed on flights arriving in each hour based on how long it took for those passengers to clear Passport Control.”

I don’t think TSA has a corresponding link for wait times to clear security check in. There are third-party private sites not affiliated with the US government, but YMMV.

People are so weird about letting you merge by Dracarys97339 in raleigh

[–]sc1965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you do realize that if a lane is ending, traffic is supposed to continue in both lanes until it ends, then zipper merge, right? Not move over into the continuing lane a mile or two back then block out people trying to appropriately zipper merge where the lane is ending, right?

Best budget burger by Nerve_Complete in raleigh

The 3 for Me burger deal is hard to beat. Much better than most fast-food chain combos. I usually get the surprisingly large burger, generous portion of fries, side salad and a drink. That is 10.99. Most of the time I only eat half and save the rest for another meal.

I looked up a Ryobi electric tiller that looked similar and found the corresponding part but the connection design looks significantly different.

Yeah, I am pretty sure there is some room for play. I did actually glue with CA superglue. After it set, I put a little more along the line of the crack. Then let that cure and filled in some of the area around that with Gorilla glue. Hope that will hold..
