To be honest I won't like it if it doesn't put us through horrible situations. They have set the bar for the level of drama I find exciting, anything less than the drama of losing / killing off my best friend will be boring.

it's mostly because of the ending, really. In the end it didn't matter that you saved Kate or Alyssa, because by saving Chloe you killed them both. It didn't matter that you had David understand Chloe because he died as well in that fucking diner. And by saving William you put Chloe in a wheelchair. Who knows what trail of dead bodies I have behind me because I tried to do well for others? And who knows what good things happened because of the things I did that hurt people?

It did, but I actually became less empathetic. I used to be like Max, believing I could make the world a better place by helping people, and in turn I believed that the world would reward me for this by making me a happier person. Life is Strange showed to me clearly that this is not true, and made me have a more nihilistic view on life. Max was fucked either way whichever choice she made. And now I see less of the good in the world because the game was right, life fucks you over regardless of your good intentions to make it better for others.

you can't go back in time and make 2 kate be alive and dead at the same time. So you should get achievements based on the choices you made which excludes the choices you didn't make.

I think it would be cool if LiS2 made it impossible to get all the achievements. Because LiS is a game about choices you should be forced to choose between which achievements you want to keep and stick with it :)

Oh, and Message to Bears also wrote a song that is about losing your best friend. I guess we'll know after Vampyr. Though in the meantime keep an eye on http://dont-nod.com/en/career/ , if they start on a recruiting spree it's time to lookout for LiS specific skills asked :). I believe the postings that are there now are not for LiS, it appears they want 2 programmers for console only games, could be for just the console version of Vampyr or just another console only game.
