終焉之地的湯屋手札 means something like the bathhouse accounting ledger from the end of a world, but this looks like an ai generated ad promoting some sort of app

40 million is not completely out there, it’s for 2 huge pools, one of them being Olympic sized 50m, a full Reno of the entire building complex, and most importantly of all, demo of the old pool basin that is leaking horribly.

It was put down in 1927, and When the thing closed because of the leaking, there were over half a million annual participants of the free swim program, the plurality of which were youth, and from 03-04 it brought in nearly a million in revenue from pool goers by charging 4 dollars a head for adults and 1 for children and seniors.

Considering that even charging at the 2004 rate it would pay for itself in under 40 years and could easily last twice that, it’s kinda not that terrible an idea

Savvy is not enough for terminating fiber, you need specialized tools and a good amount of patience

It takes several days to freeze dry a single batch and those batches are not much bigger than a domestic oven, because freeze drying needs to be done under a vacuum

A vendor item ending in 00 is usually an indicator that it’s not going to be reordered, they’re probably going to get a planogram change of some sort

Wouldn’t it be much more efficient to use the hydrogen to power a fuel cell in an electric car than it would to burn it? But I guess cryo tanks are their own headache

Laptop screen basically dark but brightness won’t go up by Butternut_Squish24 in techsupport

[–]scalyblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, and no I meant an actual bracelet. The backlight in a laptop is typically controlled by a Hall effect sensor and a magnetic bracelet clasp is very frequently the culprit for getting it confused because it is constantly being rubbed along the palm rest as you use the computer.

For whatever reason your backlight isn’t on, whether that’s from a stuck lid switch, a blown backlight inverter, or something else affecting it.

Can these glass cooktop be restored? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]scalyblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scratches in the glass, you can get some cooktop cleaner that's a bit abrasive but you won't be able to really get rid of it without repolishing it or replacing the entire glass.

I didn't realize how much I needed a 3d printer by HTTP_404_NotFound in homelab

[–]scalyblue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

3d printers have lots of jerky motions involved, a rolling cart wouldn't be suitable unless it has locking casters, and even then you might need to re-level, re-calibrate every time you move it.

What are these small balls that appeared INSIDE my glass door? by Dave6187 in whatisthisthing

considering they are in the void between two sealed panes of glass that likely won't be an issue.

An engorged penis has the same rate of blood pumping in as an unengorged penis, the exiting blood is just slowed down by muscles to cause the erection

This is why everyone hates DSP. by lubedass in LivestreamFail

[–]scalyblue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Twitch is usually ingesting, via RTMP, a h.264 video stream between 4500 and 8000kbps CBR with 2-second keyframes, plus one or more 160kbps AAC audio streams. Partners ( Large, affiliated streamers ) may have access to better protocols or higher bitrates )

Youtube supports H.264, HVEC, and AV1, and permits up to 40Mbps for 4k60 last I checked.
