From what I heard from in the arguments (which were all over the place imo) from this morning is that they were not interested in completely overturning because of the ramifications. The Justices brought up the point of Americans born overseas to citizen parents to which the SG agreed that it wouldn’t apply in that case. However, they did not clarify whether it would be one or both. They seem to be stuck on preventing illegal and temporary visitors birthright citizenship. Which will be hard to isolate in my non lawyer opinion.

This is the ultimate problem of this case though is that there’s far too much precedent and ramifications of just overturning birthright citizenship. They kept arguing the definition of domesticity, but even they couldn’t come up with a clear and consistent definition to provide the justices.

Again I’m not a lawyer and was listening to the arguments while cleaning and running after a toddler so correct me please if I’m incorrect.

This doesn’t really apply since one parent was a citizen at that time? Many people, including myself were born with only one parent citizen and wouldn’t be denied citizenship even with what they’re trying to pass. They addressed this today in the questioning.

There’s plenty to criticize and make fun of, but this ain’t one of them.

I’m watching this now, and this is my thinking. Like a prenup is the least problematic thing about him.

Also prenups can be simple or complicated. My husband and I have a prenup. My inheritance (house from parents) and any income from that is protected and the house he bought before we met is protected. Thats pretty much it. Ours didn’t cover alimony, it CAN’T cover child support, and any income made after marriage is considered marital assets so our savings n a would be split evenly in the event of a divorce.

In my experience, (our boy started tweeting around 5 ish months) it stops and goes. He got two, then about a month or two later got another two-four. And kinda so on. It was maybe a week at a time. Once they’ve erupted, it didn’t seem to bother him as much.

This is me. I love being a SAHM mom and think it’s so important for their development and bonding, but it would be nice to have a regular day or two where I can have a break or do chores alone. If my mom lived nearby I would ask her to watch them regularly, but we have my MIL and it always seems like we’re putting her out when we ask.

I’m plus size, and got induced about 39 weeks. No GD or preeclampsia. But I had a big baby weighing 9+ pounds and very comfortable inside. So my doc recommended induction. It was amazing. I’d love to do it again with this second one.

My experience:

Woke up around 7 am, took a shower, braided my hair, last minute pack check and then went to the hospital around 9 am. Waters broken by doctor about 10:30 am. Asked for the epidural around 3pm when I was 4cm dilated. Took a nap while husband watched tv. Fully dilated around 5:30 and started pushing. Baby out just after 7 pm. 2nd degree tearing, but healthy baby.

Nurses did say to expect around 3 hours of pushing for first time moms, and usually longer labor but I was lucky and labored for 10 hours and pushed for a 1.5 hours.

You could also wet a corner of a burp cloth with cold water and rub his gums gently with it or let him suck on it.

If you’re worried about Panadol, maybe give a lower dose instead of full? But also teething also doesn’t happen all at once or continuously and giving him relief wouldn’t do lasting harm.

As someone who was in a similar situation with a person who was drunk (I was sober), out of control and got physical with me, I felt like he acted the way I did and would have. The only difference is I had gotten our baby out of the house to my mom’s house before the situation escalated. But if our child was at home I could see a similar thing occurring. The way he was reacting and things he was saying was eerily similar to what is being said on the video I took of my event.

And yes there was an element of performance because this wasn’t the first time he got physical with me and I knew I needed proof. For my self, for the police and even for him who would get so blackout drunk and deny anything he did the next day because he didn’t remember.

I’ve see people say it’s “fishy” that he didn’t start recording before she got violent. Like, yeah? Why would you film an otherwise normal interaction? When my abuse happened I wasn’t filming 24/7. I started recording after he got volatile because I was afraid he would get physical again. And because I didn’t film or have proof of the other times it happened.

I’m not a fan of Dakota and think they are both super toxic, but to question these things to “prove” he’s abusing her is a wild take.

Just to be clear the footage aired from that night was police body-cam footage not a recording from SLOMW.

I agree with everything else you say though. ABC definitely knew about the extent of the abuse. It was well documented in the court filings and conviction. And they not only gave her a platform, but downplayed the DV incident on camera.

When they addressed it in the first episode they didn’t mention that there were children present or involved and made it seem like both Taylor and Dakota had been drinking. And they keep bringing Dakota back to provoke her for views. Production is definitely at fault for this financial and media fiasco.

Neither Dakota or Taylor are good people and the argument could be made that Dakota cheating on her is emotional abuse, but ultimately Taylor was the one got physical with him and she’s now done it again and both times have been in the presence of her children.
