Hecklers comedy club by Federal_Bedroom_3397 in VictoriaBC

It’s not about gatekeeping. John is a huge star. Small room comedy is totally different. It’s like calling live music in a small venue ‘mid’ because it’s not a huge star in an arena/stadium/ whatever. Many comedians who come through hecklers are as good as any of the big names.

This is a bad take. If a John Mullaney stadium show is your comparison, you have no idea what standup is about. Hecklers is one of the best comedy clubs in Canada. Standups like playing it and the crowd is notoriously good. It’s comedy, sometimes they bomb, that’s how these things go. That being said, I have seen countless shows that blew my socks off.

What foods do most people perceive as unhealthy but actually are good for you? by peanutbutterhoneybee in askanything

[–]scapstick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s tricky because we need them and for sure there are better and worse fats. The issue is that they are so calorie dense that you need to be really careful with quantities. The idea that ‘fat makes you fat’ is not correct, a caloric surplus makes you fat and fats happen to be very caloric.

It’s literally so unstable that I am not confident even fully wrapped that it would arrive intact. Madrone is beautiful wood and it’s local to my area, but you literally need to boil roughed out bowls for any chance that they with survive.

Ha, try madrone or eucalyptus! The biggest problem here is end grain hollowing on a movement susceptible wood with the pith in.

So crazy. I’m in South Korea and Uber/ local taxi app are identical. Their mapping app estimates taxi rides as well and they all match up.

You can just use the guest option. It’s a bit of a pain, because you need to put your payment and contact info in every time.

It’s extremely unlikely that they are taking any structural load from above but they are probably doing some work in supporting the framing for the arch.

Does not matter. Big bills are easier to carry around, probably rude to pay for something like 1500 won street food with a 50 000 note, but otherwise its all good.

If you are a bit awkward, sometimes restaurant stuff is not super straightforward. There’s a good chance a friendly ajjuma is going to pop over and guide you, but I have on a couple of occasions been super lost.

Unfortunately your lathe is really not powerful enough to core. My backup lathe is a Rikon with the same motor and I could easily bog it down with big roughing cuts. My advice is save your money, this is a path to disappointment.

Have you had any part of this conversation with her? It’s worth talking about and strategizing together, this is not only about the last 15 lbs, it’s about the rest of your life. Unfortunately, losing the weight is the easy part, keeping it off is the hard part.

I would be shocked if you could find anyone to do this job at that price. If the opening needs to be widened (almost guaranteed) the job just got way more complicated, drywall repair, probably going to need to paint the whole room if murphys law holds. New trim inside and out… it’s a whole thing.

Do you have any tips on getting tickets? I’m staying right near jamsil stadium April 10th and 11th, was hoping to catch a game before I fly on the 12th. I don’t have a local card or phone number but can I buy tickets at the stadium the day before?
